@@Davian_Thule No joke, one of my childhood friends went to a church that broke off from another (like, present tense, maybe a year or so in the past, not a hundred years ago) because the two pastors argued, one said that only Christian rock music should be allowed, and the other said that all rock music is the devil. Two nutters, arguing over who isn't nutty enough.
I used that with my boys all the time, it wasn't until my oldest was 12 he happened across this show. He then learned where all the jokes were coming from. He's wiley, that one! He never told, he just started using lines I never did. He's in college now and Lord help the ladies. He's a charmer.
"Psycho Dad" would have made a great spin-off series. Love this 2-part episode, esp the speech Al gives to the US Senate reminding us that it's up to parents, not media to raise your kids!
@@osaji922 The manager with his arm resting on the time clock. YOU'RE A MINUTE LATE WHAM!!!!! PSYCHO DAD HIT HIM IN THE HEAD WITH THE OZARKA OFFICE WATER🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not really the sad thing this this was allways th3 case the episode it self was to fight the shows critics It's just now days there's an information superhighway
My favorite AL Bundy quote: "You know why they never showed The Rifleman's wife in that TV show don't you? Cuz he was pumping her full of lead at the beginning of every episode!!"
One of the things I appreciate about this is that they took the time to establish the existence of Psycho Dad in multiple episodes well before this one and to establish how much Al loves it.
True...he didn't get invited to her wedding bc she thought he would start laughing when they both came down in a tuxedo...there is a interview were they tell Ed that she said that...and he agreed that he def would have lol seeing 2 woman in tuxedo's
Kinda hard to watch her now. When I was her age and watching of course there was only one thing on my mind. Now I see her as a young girl, not much younger than my own daughter, and somehow feel a little ashamed of myself.
@@sid2112 Dude, she was older than me when this came out and I still think of her like that. It's OK to appreciate a beautiful woman, she's not a young girl. I get your point but this is an old show.
@@Angyali I will if she will. She sure enjoyed the fame and cashing them checks back then. “It was a mean-spirited and misogynist show,” Bearse tells News Corp Australia when asked what she thinks of the sitcom today. “It was just so completely inappropriate. Today I don’t think the show would be produced because it’s so globally offensive. Even then it wasn’t everybody’s cup of tea but for some reason it’s had this amazing longevity.”
@@magnetospin it’s funny cause originally Kelly was a smart teenager that was into the normal trends of the time, but as the series went along, Kelly got dumber and dumber. At least she still had flashes of brilliance on occasion.
Unfortunately they decided to end married with a whimper and even changed the ending of the last episode (preventing Kelly from getting married) just so they could have a Kelly and Bud spinoff. But the spin-off never happened.
Al has a lot of patience when it comes to Marcy, a few chicken jokes yeah. But for everyone else who learned that their favorite shows got canceled and found out it was her? We’d be yelling heads off.
Not true. What it is is people are able to quickly voice their complaints or concerns via the Internet these days and before people had to take the time to write a letter 😊
I looked up the chemicals Bud added to the tray of nachos. I thought I'd share, just in case anyone wanted to know. Diacetyl tartaric acid is added to dough to add volume to breads. Disodium guanylate is a flavor enhancer, it helps increase the intensity of salt so that less of it's needed. Pyridoxine hydrochloride a water-soluble B vitamin
Instead we got Futurama. It's about a pizza delivery boy from the 20th century who gets cryogenically frozen 1000 years into the future. When he unfreezes, he has a hard time getting used to the new world. But his new friends--- a robot and a purple haired cyclops help him.
There goes marcy interfering in Bundy lifestyle........ again. Seems like everything she do on the show is to annoy 1st. Al Bundy 2nd. Men 3rd. Happy men 4th. Bundy household
Amanda Bearse was saying that she was directing most of the later seasons? when her and Ed Oneal was not on great terms. So hes more important to the show but she calls the shots on set as director? I just wonder if that caused friction or she had to go with his ideas if a scene was not working as told to by the producers?
Bearse knew that this show was ALL SHE WOULD NEVER BE in life. So...she went for broke. She actually wanted Al Bundy to be written out of his own show. Think about that. THAT'S how delusional she was.
After all of the shit Marcy did to Al and Al never hit her, shows what a simp Al really is. Then there is Peggy. They both would have been elbowed right in the eye a few times by me if I were Al.
No wonder Marcy was so good in her role. It took on real life. Marcy is a lesbian in real life, and her and Al had beef then, and still don't like each other to this day 30 years later.
