I don't think It's fair to assume the FBI can't figure this out. The FBI just doesn't have a youtube channel where they show what they're doing. They work with other investigations bureaus of other countries and law enforcement to shut things like this down all the time, but we never hear about it because it's the FBI...

I saved a guy just yesterday. Microsoft scammers had a elderly man scared to death that his bank account was going to get emptied. He had already gone to the bank and withdrew $4000 to buy Home Depot gift cards!!! I overheard the cashiers at Depot trying to explain that he was being scammed and he wasn't listening. I stepped in and started showing him YOUR VIDEOS!!! He asked me for a ride to the bank and I was more than happy to help him out. The good guys won yesterday thanks to the work you guys do!!!! Keep it up

I’ve been using RU-vid since it’s inception (I’m 61) and have never felt the urge to leave a comment. However, in this case, it’s necessary. You’re performing a public service and thank you for what you do. If you can get paid, and ensure you can support your team, then even better. I have worked in law enforcement in Australia for 35 years most of those as an investigator. I’ve dealt with victims of these scams for many years and tried to advise and educate as best we can. I spent a lot of time on education through media but it was relentless and very difficult to solve as most of the money went straight overseas. We had and probably still have a lot of money mules. As I say the more this is out there the more educated we are against these absolute filth. The United States should have to pay back any of these old people that lose their money due to the fact that they don't step up and do more they could stop all calls from India for first of all and that way no calls go in and no calls go out if you got family over there then they could get like a free card prepaid card or something that way it can happen something needs to be done and not allowed since they know that this is going on in India they need to put a stop to it all banks need to keep an eye on people's accounts for big amounts all people at the stores need to keep an eye on people buying gift cards in large amounts

I'm from India and my dad who's 81 now got scammed in 2020 of his life savings. Those people scammed a lot of catholic senior citizens in mumbai. Because they services were advertised in a church magazine called the examiner. So a lot of senior citizens got scammed. He didn't tell me about this as well so I was very upset because my aunt told me she asked him to withdraw his money back in 2018 but he didn't listen to her.

I’m 74, found your videos 1 1/2 years ago. So. So grateful for all the work you do to expose these scammers!! Checked my junk mail, had 8 out of 30 emails that were scammers . I did have a few 4 months that were geek squad and thanks to you I knew not to click on it. Scammers love to use the F word on us. I started singing happy birthday real fast to one and I got 3 F’s. They can’t stand it if you are on to them!.

The fact scammers think what they do and what people like Pierogi do are equivalent is hilarious. People willingly give Pierogi money because they are entertained and/or impressed/inspired by what he's doing. People only give scammers money because they are tricked into it/lied to/manipulated/intimidated. The difference is pretty obvious.

The thing I like about Pierogi is that this isn't purely out of entertainment - he actually wants to get the scammers and shut the call centers. There are other popular scambaiters on youtube who, while wildly entertaining, I think is purely about the trolling.

Personal, I think every scambaiters is going good and just has their own way. Even if it’s just for entertainment, they are wasting a scammers time which they would otherwise use for scamming someone else.

I watch loads of them and only know of 4 or 5 that are seriously and solely trying to shut down scammers. It's extremely hard to do anything more than annoy the crooks, and it doesn't help anyone to single out one scammer-troll as being shallow or self serving, which she isn't.

Of course you should be making money on your videos! The difference is you're providing a valuable service and not trying to steal money from anyone. These scammers are evil and need to be exposed. As an older single (widowed) woman, I've learned so much and am better able to protect myself from these thieves. When I accidentally answer a call, I can identify a scammer right away. I laugh at them and tell them "Pierogi says hi" before hanging up 😂😂😂

Why aren't indians taking actions on this issue? It seems like they feel sorry and bad that all of these are happening but I don't see a single indian taking real effort to actually punish these individuals. Why do foreigners like scammerpayback has to do all these work to keep the scammers in check while the Indians themselves who has more direct option available do not act at all. What do you think the India needs for these scammers to stop scamming? I've visited various places in India from the north to the south but it seems like the scamming culture is prevalent everywhere I go, and I feel like the scamming centre is just a part of bigger indian scamming culture. Why is nobody doing anything about this? Why is nobody pointing it out so that india can reform and be more integral?

@@Hello-oe7wg actually not, there is a loophole..the complainant has to register a case.. which isn’t happening, as a result these buggers get off even if they are arrested. But, now courtesy of the scam-baiting community these buggers are being harassed a lot by the police, even though momentarily but with persistence.. As a result their work is being hampered and as a result they are quitting this business and moving on to other business from the money that they have made from scamming.. It isnt the perfect justice, but atleast something is happening..

For eg , this was reported in Times of India : 19th June 2023 : "The Delhi Police special cell has arrested four suspects in an operation conducted with the FBI that has blown the lid off an international syndicate extorting money from US citizens. The syndicate is estimated to have extorted around $20 million ." . I have read many such news reports about raids here with assistance & intel from FBI & Interpol .

RU-vid should pay these people double for breaking the backbone of these criminals. I live in Germany and had the police in my house reporting a scammer. The police spoke to the man, and he started swearing at the police and told them to try and catch him. Afterwards, the policeman told me they could not catch these criminals. He told me that it was the first time they had the opportunity to talk to a scammer because they only got the report after the crime was committed. Please, RU-vid, do not demonetise these people. As a RU-vid subscriber, I have no respect for your censorship office because you have attacked some very innocent content providers.
