It’s interesting hearing men talk about trauma. As a woman, I’ve spent a lot of time (years) trying to process my trauma. I rarely meet men that can comprehend that I might feel a bit vulnerable in certain situations. It’s refreshing to know that there are guys around that get it. For the most part I just hide it so it doesn’t get used against me.

You guys don’t know what this means to me. My mum was diagnosed with colon cancer a few months ago. I have been so down going to chemo with her every 2 weeks. Trying to be happy and strong for her. She is such a beautiful, selfless, strong Nigerian woman. It breaks my heart everyday seeing her in such pain. This is the first time I’ve heard other peoples experience. It’s helped more than you’ll ever know. Thank you 💕🙏🏾

Really felt this one I cant lie. Last year september 9th I had a heartattack at only 21yrs old. It was also my mums birthday that day. At first doctors didnt know what it was but they discovered holes in my lungs and heart from all the trauma I have and the thing is, when i was 17 I was told i was going to lose my mum due to her getting an illness that only 1 in 100,000 women survive and she was pregnant at the time too. Shes alive and well now but this episode cut deep. You guys are a big blessing fr. Big ups from Australia

It’s the honesty fa me, as a women it gives you an insight as to why a man may act or react the way he may due to past traumas he may not even vocalise. So some understanding.

I feel like our African culture needs to stop telling males not to cry when they are bereaved, it’s toxic, how can you not cry for someone who brought you into this world and raised you. Not crying is not a sign of strength. Love the convo 🧡

I can’t even imagine how many people this episode will help - thank you 💜 Also being a woman is hard!! but listening to black men talk about their realities - it’s insane how hard, pressured and dangerous it is from as young as year 7 & well into adulthood wtf. No words.

Another really good episode. Ed touched on trapped emotions in the body. Its tough to go to a parents funeral and hold back the tears to mourn later in silence. That one hit

Sincerely, this was a genuinely strong episode. Thank you for baring your vulnerability and being honest. I have friends have dealt with loss/bereavement. But as a person who has had to be a "carer* for a sick parent, this resonated with me greatly. I almost wish it were longer-went into more depth. Either way, kudos 👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾

i walked with knife for a very brief period, literally no reason, i wasnt a badman, had no beef, the badman knew me so i had no issues, but one of the badman offered to buy me a knife so i gave him £5 and he jumped on the bus and bought me the knife. I dont even remember what happened to it, i just remember my friends seeing it and being like "WHOW WAT U DOING WITH THIS", i have no idea lol.

I'd say a bad man is someone who is about that life, no nonsense business, they will onsite you in Asda If the beef is there. They look like they can handle themselves, and usually have a few mad stories to back up there status. They may move food and/ or do road. Imo 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤔🤔
