I found the history and culture of India always fascinating (being a European). The more I´ve learned, the more I understood why the Indians have a grudge against the British. They destroyed so much of their cultural heritage, oppressed them, caused starvation and left the country in a position where a civil war was inevitable...

Phenomenal Travel Videos Thank you Praveen, I learned a lot. I visited when I was 2 years old and actually slightly remember walking up to it with my mother. My father being from India spoke of it many times, but I didn't know most of these facts you spoke of. I"d like to see it again as a grown up after seeing this and your underground video of the Taj.
Wow, Praveen, you showed me many things I didn't know about the Taj Mahal. Just magnificent! You do such a fantastic job of presenting incredible places, structures, etc. Thank you!
One thing that I remembered and impressed me was the writing on the walls outside. If you look at the writing as it goes up the sides of the building it appears to look like the writing is the same size but the writing gets larger as it goes up. Because the writing gets further away if it stayed the same size it would start to look smaller. The writing get bigger but still looks the same size as the words close to you.

I just found your channel, your videos are great. A lot of the ancient archeology on RU-vid and in the mainstream deal with Egypt, Sumer, and Meso-America, and the only mention of India or Hinduism is usually restricted to the Indus Valley Culture and references to the Vedas or Upanishads. It's nice to see the ancient achievements of Indians examined up close. India is definitely full of artifacts and sites that hold rich historical significance that still haven't been seen by the wider world.

at 5:55 in the middel of the arch, you wil see an cone in top of the cone, you will see a TRISHULA ,the weapon of shiva and durga. and if you see very closely you will see the third eye of durga covering the TRISHULA from four sides......
Another optical illusion - it is said that the letters of the text around the Taj Mahal entrance are actually larger in size at the upper level than those at the lower level, so when seen from below all the texts appear to be of the same size..... Flowers and Snakes are integral to Hindu concepts of Yoga “Light the mooladhara and bloom the 7 flowers (chakras) in the human body to merge with universal consciousness”. Every bit of Shiva workship is just that! Soruba Samadhi is what the oldest and richest Tamil Siddhanta (18 Siddhars of Tamil) discovered! Thankyou again sir for your wisdom. I have witnessed the beauty of the Taj Mahal way back in 1984. I arrived at Agra at around 9pm on an incredibly beautiful full moon clear sky still night. It was a memory that has never left me. Looking across the river at the city of Agra was also a phenomenal site, it looked like the city was on fire because of the incredible red sandstone everywhere. I would have so enjoyed your knowledge if I had traveled India with you........Thankyou again.
I was lucky enough to visit the Taj Majal 30ish years ago-at that time, they sold marble plates, and such, with inlays in designs simialr to those on the structure, probably so you could take away part of the beauty, without defacing it! My memory of this incredible building is still as vivid as the day it first took my breath away. Thanks for sharing some of its secrets with us!
It's no wonder it took 22 years to build it. In fact I'm surprised it didn't take 100! It's gorgeous! I'm currently reading a book about it & the Moguls history. Thank you for fascinating upload. Just wish I could afford to go see it. Namaste!
Wow! Being typical American and having almost no knowledge of the Taj Mahal I had no idea how beautiful and intricate it is. That is a serious masterpiece. How long was it said to of taken to construct?
It is a Shiva temple...that was stolen and refaced by sha Jehan...a mogal thief that thought he will show the world through this masterpiece of Shiva his love for his wife that he murdered...out of regret. Then chopping off the hands of the people that refurbished its face inside out!...A very sad history!

I visited the Taj Mahal in 1972 there were hardly any visitors inside the Tomb, and the acoustics there are amazing.I sat inside for a couple of hours not being bothered by security.
I had visited this monument one of the wonders on earth in 1975; no guide at that time. I am now fully understood the structural intricacies and enjoyed as if I am at that complex. The illusion tricks is also best mason tricks and such tricks of sound is in Golconda Fort Hyderabad India. Every monument is unique in our mother land. Thanks.

To wit, the four large columns located at each corner of the base are not actually vertical, instead, each is angled slightly out and away from the center of the main palace so that in case of an earthquake, each would tip/fall AWAY from the palace proper on the inside, and instead toward the perimeter.

There is no concrete evidence of having idols at the basement. But its true that there was something already built even before shah jahan and the Taj mahal. The carbon dating done on the doors of the red-stone foundation , at the riverside, shows that. In the other video uploaded by this person, he shows some pillars at the basement having removed or placed improperly which has eight-faces with square base that is only observed in some ancient Hindu Monuments. But its difficult to say if that is a temple.
I've heard that the four pillars on the outside some distance away from the main building, actually tilt outwards, because if they were straight up and down they would actually look like they're tilted towards the main structure oh, just another optical illusion trick that they figured out and rendered, totally awesome!... One of the places we spent time at. It is truly spectacular to see for all its magnificence. (Taj Mahal near Agra.. built in *1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself.) 👀👍

Well of you'll ever visit the national museum in London then you'll see that most of the art and sculptures are stolen from throughout the various countries, and maximum being Indian artifacts, but the one in taj mahal was stolen by soliders so you wont find any account of it in history or museum.
