ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vwXahbqljqU.html So many of you were asking for updates on the B.A. admission dates and all, so I've put up a new video covering the same. Do check it out and don't forget to like and subscribe for more such updates
Bhai please make more content regarding studying psychology in Xavier's! The admission process, percentage required in class 12th, what kind of entrance exam we have to appear for?? And so on!
So this was my entire B.A. experience. As for admissions, I didn't put much on that because of two reasons - a) it's been covered in other videos, b) it's a bit too unpredictable. Same applies for the cut off, it's difficult for me to say. There's no entrance exam for B.A.
hey, could you explain the honours system for ba psych? more specifically, does having a certain number of credits turn your ba psychology into ba honours for psychology or is it a different course?
I am a 12th arts student and I want to persue my graduation in psychology.......but as our JC did not have psychology as a subject I could not take it up in my 11-12 but I do have education as one of the elective sub.....so can I still take psychology for graduation
Hi brother How did you find B.A in psychology course on mumbai digital university. Please help me I can't find B.A in psychology course in course list.
Hi your video was really informative so firstly thank you for sharing your experience. As you might already know that CBSE board exams have been cancelled, so what could be the possible criteria now for selection . Also have the admissions for psychology open yet because I could not find an application form in St Xavier’s website.
So, I'm not sure what they're going to do with regard to this. The management will probably look at other scores (in school examinations). They haven't put out any official update on this.
Hey,this video is extremely helpful! I have heard that St.Xaviers offers special courses in the third year which is a cross faculty course..is it true?
Yes, that's true. People from arts do one science course, and vice versa for Science peeps. So there's a lot of subjects to choose from - botany, zoology, microbio, web dev (what I chose), among others. It wasn't difficult or anything, it was really fun in fact. We were taught by the science profs. (One small thing to note, it's in the second year, not third)
Bro the video was really informative thank you so much for this!...But actually I want to do my BA major in philosophy in Xavier's, so can you please tell me is philosophy available there and if yes then how is it.... thanks 💗
Yes. Xaviers has a lot of people from all over India and some from different countries too. It's a very diverse crowd and there are many south indians. It's a very warm and welcoming place for people of all places and cultures.
i have done pcb 12th ...from rbse board ..... rajasthan .. and 12 th percentage was given on basis of 10th and 11th result as exams were not held due to covid period .... now i want to do pyschology course i have two major questions related to admission in st. xavier's 1. criteria for admission .... for rbse board students. and covid batch [as i get 95%] 2. is there bsc pyschology?????
Hey firstly I applied for Mumbai university as a pre registration do I have to apply for st Xavier there or need to fill the form on their offival site
There's no minimum percentage, it genuinely depends on the percentages of others. If many people got in 90's, then it would be quite high. No one can really say, having some where around 93% and above is usually safer.
I have heard that st.xaveirs of Mumbai doesn't have..ba hons.. in psychology..is it true or not...and is psychology, sociology and economic are good combination if I want to study both 1st and 2nd year psychology..and want to become a psychologist..
Hey, that's true. It doesn't have BA Hons, no subject has it in fact. Yes psych-soc-eco is a good combination if you want to be a Psychologist, although I'd recommend taking only psych as your subject in the third year
@@ishanigupta4576 yes, you can choose only one subject as your major. That's what I did, I majored in only Psychology. A few of my friends majored in only sociology, and so on. Some even majored in both psych and Socio or other subjects. This is double major.
Hey, I read that we need to learn a foreign language or an indian language during the first year, what are the language choices and are they easy to learn (I mean are they advanced or basic)?
Yes that's correct. One can choose either Hindi or French (and they're very easy, it's from the start if I remember correctly). I picked hindi and it was quite fun, it was easy. The professor was a very sweet man.
Hello bhai sun na mai bus aase hi puch raha hu if mujhe board exam mai 40 Tak percentage aaya to kya mujhe admission mil jayega kya kyu ki sab bol rahe hai ki 75 ke upar la tab hi hoga tu to Xavier's mai hi hai to tujhe zada pata ho ga bhai mera ye doubt clear kar de please
They have B.A., not BSc. but there's actually not much difference between the two, the syllabus and experience is pretty much identical. Plus you can do an MSc in Psych (or related fields like Behavioral Sciences) even if you have a B.A. (I secured admission for a MSc program even though I have a B.A. degree). So I genuinely don't think you should be focusing on that but instead looking at what the college can offer, and I have to say Xavier's has lots to offer
Hi, it is possible to make a good living as a psychologist but it can depend on different factors like the location of practice, the field, the college you went to, etc.
I'm sorry but I'm a Psychology student, I'm not sure about the biotech course. Xaviers doesn't have honors tho, not in the traditional sense that's accepted in other universities. It has a QEP programme
On which website should I apply for BA psychology please send me link. And the important part is that when should I apply because our results are still pending and don't know when will it come. Please reply.
Hi, St. Xavier's University is in Kolkata. I don't know much about it, I'm talking about St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. SXC Mumbai doesn't have a MSc course, it has an M.A. in Lifespan Counselling
@@dionysy ohhh:( thanks ! I was thinking to do bsc and Msc in psychology from st. Xavier college (sorry I was talking about college which is in mumbai it was a mistake ) but I think I have to find some other colleges or universities!
@@nissigangavarapu7292 yeah actually I still don't know much but now I'm interested in Christ University in Banglore... You can search about this university if you want👍
Hi, the college website has the syllabi for the different subjects offered. But you can refer to this image (images.app.goo.gl/RGT9Bvo6yEbDzusNA ) to understand it better. So from this image you have to pick one from each group and that forms your subject combination (one from A, one from B, and one from C). For example, I had psych, Socio, Anthro. The asterisk mentioned next to the subject refers to the majors available, i.e. one asterisk means that a single major is available for that subject (e.g. psych has a single major) whereas if it shows two asterisk then it's only available for double majors and three asterisk means it's not offered in the third year as a major.
Sir bsc psychology in st. Xavier ke liye eligibility criteria bata dijiye 2023 pls na.... Ye saal 12th hua and neet mai 485 hai... General mai hu to gmc nhi milega and i am keenly intrested in psychology ☺
Could you please make a video about the placements in St Xavier's College? Also how much percentage is required to get admission for BA as there's no entrance exam?
About placements, there's a placement cell that sends you a mail with internship/job offers from different companies pertaining to the areas in which you've shown interest. The mail contains information about the job, the stipend/pay, and the company and gives a link/contact to apply. As for percentage required, that genuinely depends on the year and I cannot say anything about it, it's genuinely unpredictable. A good range lies between 94-96% but it genuinely depends on the marks of other people who are applying.
@@dionysy thanks and also could you please make a video about the admission procedure in St Xavier's College and it's updates as they are yet to start their admission process?
@@Matchalove2323 Yes there is an entrance exam. Check out Xavier's Undergraduate syllabus for Psychology, that's the syllabus for the M.A. course as well.
Minority reservation make up a small amount of the seats. Majority of the seats are for general if I'm not mistaken. But since it's a catholic college, preference will be given to minorities.
@@s_shiva Hi, I've created a new video on BA admission updates, don't forget to check it out - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vwXahbqljqU.html
Hey, yes. Xaviers has a placement cell that sends emails to you whenever a company sends an internship offer that's relevant to the areas you've chosen.
Hi. It doesn't matter much whether you did your JC from Science or Arts, you just need the required Percentage. I had done my 11th in Science and 12th in arts, and was able to get in. They only see the marks tbh
Hey zainab I'm Iqra! Did you get admission in bsc psychology? Because I also want to do bsc in psychology. If you did get admission there then can you please share some information about getting admission there?
