Weird Easter Egg, can be activated by revisiting Hollis' Casino warping to the Maternity Ward and throwing a hidden pen at the neon signage. I have only regrets finding this.
Ima be honest, thought this was a shitpost when I first saw it but I read the comments and tried it for myself. The emotion I felt when this scene actually played in-game is completely indescribable.
I like to imagine that Pen Ward came up with this at 3am the morning they were having the meeting about the plot of the game. Like, he spends all night animating and voicing this joke, then walks into the production meeting, says nothing, and plays this for the entire team.
I realize that he could’ve only had that nightmare a total of 3 real instances. When he first got to camp on the first day, the night before Raz leaves camp and maybe right when Romulus of Ruin ends.
>Be Pendleton Ward >Your finishing up the final season of Adventure Time and your respected among everyone within the animation and storytelling industry >get hired by Double fine during Pre Production of Psychonauts 2 >your job is to create the intro to the game post psychonauts VR >decide to stay up all night creating what is essentially an Mpreg Shitpost to start the game out. >present the animatic to Tim Schaffer and most of the other top people at Double Fine. >Have an awkward 30 second moment of dead silence before Tim has to turn down your idea >you still get them use the shitpost as an actual canon dream that Raz ends up having recurringly.
@@cheatsykoopa98 Judging by the last lines, it was a first idea for the opening cutscene that hasn't gone beyond the animatic, and that Schafer and co decided to put as an easter egg for some sick fun :p
The funniest part is that after all of that, raz just shrugs it off saying “ugh, not THAT dream again” indicating that it’s not the first time he saw that and it doesn’t even bother him that much, or does it?
I headcanon that Raz had the dream before he even went to Whispering Rock and it was some sort of sick form of future vision and the reason he never mentioned it was that he *really* didn't want to talk about that dream-
Here's my analysis: Raz giving birth to a baby Loboto represents his fear of accidentally creating another villain. The psychonauts putting on clown makeup represents Raz slowly seeing them as fools. Him smooching a pig's buttocks represents how he feels the tasks he's given are belittling and pointless.
It can be whatever the observer wants it to be I think it’s Raz’s subconscious mind telling him the Psychonauts are kind of clowns Giving him pointless and belittling tasks because they don’t respect him at all, despite being clowns And he is afraid that he might make/become a villain like Ford or Lucretia He *is* a psychic His mind would probably be a lot more complex than normal who knows if he can/can’t tell the future slightly unconsciously through his dreams Or at least his brain is giving him some sort of insight he is overlooking
I've re-watch it over a dozen times now. It feels like I've seen a hyper intricate and beautiful carousel but instead of normal wooden horses their real horses that have been impaled on wooden stakes
I can't believe this isn't a shitpost. Double Fine keeps proving to us that every single person working there is batshit insane, and I love it. THEY MADE AN M-PREG JOKE AND GOT AWAY WITH IT. Never change, fellas. Never change. PS: Please put DLC out for this game. I WANT MORE!!
Reminds me of the time Toby Fox, the creator of Undertale, made an Mpreg rock opera of Homestuck AND STUCK A SNIPET OF ONE OF THE SONGS IN A POKÉMON BOSS BATTLE SONG.
@@fluffypuff766 I REMEMBER COMING ACROSS IT A FEW YEARS BACK WHEN I JUST GOT INTO HOMESTUCK, EVERY FANDOM IM IN IS DOOMED TO HAVE MPREG MADE BY LARGE INFLUENCES
"...why am i pregnant?" "Lobatto's concience is about to erupt out of your psicHIC UTERUS" "MIA I NEED THAT CLOWN MAKEUP" "I don't...need to hear that" "Quickly Raz,Kiss this pigling's behind" "Why i don't remember any of this?" "You wanna remember this?"
The fact that there is a shit post that you can access in game is peak level design, and how raz plays it off as “that dream again” insinuating he has had this dream more than once after the loboto incident
It’s canon that there’s mpreg but it’s also canon that it still can’t happen. It can happen in your dreams though, what’s worse is that you can remember most of your dreams in the game tho so
I've watched this many times now and I can't help but perform my own analysis on it based on being Razs dream. Sasha is the logical part trying to make sense of everything going on...in the context of the dream that is, with Milla being the part trying to help Raz coop and calm him. Ford, being someone he looks up to is likely his "super ego" taking charge while being aware it is a dream. As well as being aware that this is likely a memory best left forgotten. The clown make up is, while Raz may have negative feelings about the Circus, a attempt to give familiarity to him and thus ease him in, with the fact that Milla is making it being a clear indicator. Loboto represents the ID, the darker part of him that is yet to rear its head fully, but is still buried in Raz that may have serious consequences to him down the line. I don't know about the pigs to be honest, unless it is a association with Ford (Bacon) or past trauma (Meat circus). Either that or thats just a chaotic element of the dream scape. Course this is obviously a shit post, so ultimately I likely read too much into it, but what do you do when your bored at work.
Now pick your poison: -Pendleton ward putting an mpreg animation into a psychonauts game. Or -Toby Fox putting part of an mpreg rock opera he made for the homestuck forums into a mainline pokémon game.
@@twist_ending7545 undertale creator Toby Fox. He did a male pregnancy rock opera that got him banned from the homestuck forums back when the didn't allow that kinda stuff. And the last few seconds ended up being used as the opening part of the battle tower's battle theme for Pokémon Sword and Shield.
i think this Easter egg gave us a small glimpse into Raz's current psyche i think he might be starting to have Ptsd, this may tie in a future DLC or the third game.
@@handsomejack4125 That’s definitely the case here, but Raz has saved the world twice and played therapist to like 20 adults in the space of a week. I wouldn’t be surprised if he developed it.
@@ShenDoodles honestly it could go either way. I mean, in some ways you could argue that it’s improved his mental psyche a bit, as without going into details too much he’s gotten over a phobia of his by the end of the psychonauts 2.
I was so convinced that this had to be fake but I saw no evidence proving it, so went to my living room around 2 in the morning and booted up the game to try this. I am bemused as to what insanity brought someone to create this and put it in the finished game
I shit you not. It's was like 3-4 am when I did this, and l was so confused and tired that I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe. Safe to say I didn't get any sleep that night.
This really is the type of video you’d watch on RU-vid at 4 am when you can’t sleep and y’know, this really didn’t help, but it certainly felt appropriate
So it really was made by Pendleton Ward... They probably told Pen to do something as an easter egg, Pen is a guy with real absurd humor, he's the creator of adventure time
I know this is just supposed to be a funny easter egg but dreams related to pregnancy are often symbols of a big change, sudden responsibility, or starting a new life. And considering all of the stuff Raz goes through in both games, it makes sense that he would have this dream (especially more than once.)
In the game's files, there is a file named "ward.dat" in the movies folder. I've tried to open it up in VLC media player with no success. However, it is my suspicion that this file is this video.
... well that happened. Honestly thought it was gonna be a shot post or something. Well Pendleton ward is the guy who initially wanted Gunter’s egg baby to look like ice king (and all the implications) but it was decided to tone it back from that. So totally believe ward is related to this. Good job for making a memorable moment I guess?
goddamnit i searched 'psychonauts raz pregnant' to watch this and i have a feeling my mom is gonna see it and ask me wtf is wrong with me. i remember searching up 'fnaf matpat mpreg' to see the one part of one of the fnaf books where a guy named mat gives birth to like baby springtrap or something and she saw that in my youtube search history and was concerned
I’m on, like, my 40th rewatch, right? And I realize in a moment that I’m always looking at Ford at the end, right? So I look just 5° to the right at Milla and Sasha, and I notice for the first time that they have clown makeup, too.
Hello, I found another Easter Egg but I'm unable to record it. If you go back into Loboto's Mind, at the very end of the Asylum, you can jump back up in it with Levitation ball and then kind of spam levitation and wall jump. You can make it back up in that dome. If you look up in the dome, you can find a suspended cage with curtains around it. If you walk on the path that leads up and behind it, you can find Loboto and the "boss" inside the curtain area.
I did not believe that this was real. I saw it in a meme compilation and read the comments and saw people's experiences so I looked it up and it claimed to be real so I tried it for myself. I can't even express the amount of emotion I felt, watching this being broadcast on the family television in the living room
His Milla voice is so gosh darn funny, and it really reminds me of this character from some old cartoon, but I can't remember who. I think it's some early internet cartoon, hopefully I'll remember to update this comment if it pops into my head later.
The idea that someone thought this might be a good idea, is baffling. The fact that, whether someone did or not, this ended up in the actual game, is, insane.
The best part is that after seeing this, a friend of mine told me that they had a dream of them being pregnant last night. I don't know how to feel about this...
