I served during Desert Storm and I know there are plenty of citizens from Kuwait and other small nations in that region like Qatar and Oman that are quite thankful of my fellow military brothers and sisters who served. Actually, a Psyoper's primary weapon is creditability. Of the three "colors" of Psyop, we deal in white the most. That is "a clear message from a known, legitimate source." If you want propaganda, you gotta go elsewhere.

@@icmorgan1 Study hard, stay fit, and always keep in mind that as a 37F you're working as an educator, advisor, and sometimes a mediator. So stay motivated to grow in knowledge and fitness and you'll find success!

Probably because MPs are always dealing with civilians and always interacting with them. They see their behavior and know how to analyze situations. I had a few guys who were 37Fs, they were in my MP company.

Old question, but I'll answer for anyone reading in 2023. New enlistees can sign up for a 37x contract. You'll do MP school first, and then on to a prep course proceeding Psyop selection. If you fail selection, or fail out of the future training, you'll fall back to your MP mos and be a typical military police officer.

I just read up on these details and talked to a recent reclass student. I'm prior service and considering attempting to reclass into this os CIVAFFAIRS. I heard that it's mainly just cramming information quickly and testing retention more than anything else. The recruiter keeps trying to push me to Cyber because it's part of my civilian career, but I really don't want to sit in an office every weekend for drill, or while deployed.

You can get attached to rangers or other special operations groups and if you are attached to one of those there is a fair chance of seeing combat plus you would be deployed to dangerous places so you still have a pretty decent chance of seeing combat

Do you do Antarctic training like the Navy and Coast Guard? What is the average day for a diver? And do you go to the field, or do you just do water missions? Thank you.

@@maysontylar8802 I'm on my phone, so this'll be abbreviated. You'll most likely go to VA, and be there a while. Unless you're a phase I or II instructor, you won't mess with Florida or Missouri. Hawaii maybe, but that's iffy. There's also positions in Key West for the Combat Dive School, but not many. Yes, you'll go to the field. It varies, but for VA FT Picket is a big one for its demolition range, surface and underwater. There is an option in Hampton Roads at Little Creek too. When you aren't deployed you're going to be TDY, or training. It's great if you're single, not the best if you're married. A given day is maintenance, and training in between TDYs or schools.

PSYOP has their own tactical teams that work closely with other special operations units. They train and deploy on different types of missions. They can also be the first on the ground in new areas, which is quite dangerous.

They aren’t Direct Action units but that doesn’t mean they aren’t ready to bang if the situation calls for it. Not everyone in Special Ops is a trigger puller first. There is an important mission in the MISO and Civil Affairs units. My best friend is a 37F. They have some physically fit people in her unit, they are very intelligent, deploy frequently and are always training. I was in Combat Arms units and Support units and they don’t train nearly as much as PSYOP (Active Duty) or Civil Affairs (Active Duty)

@@Milos.L Based on the information I've gathered in regards to this MOS, here's the gist of what I know. The ONLY way to enlist directly into PSYOP is through the reserves, there is no other way. Up until recently, it wasn't even open to active duty personnel from what I understand. For active duty soldiers, there are a few ways I understand you can go through selection for PSYOP, but if you're looking at enlisting directly in, the reserves are your only option. However, this does come with some downsides, you may not be able to receive language or airborne training, as the video said while all active duty personnel for PSYOP are jump qualified, the reserve side is a bit different, but you can probably get it in your contract being that it's a SOF unit. I guess it depends on what you can get in your contract, and on what your unit has needs for, but being that 37F is a highly deployable MOS, reserves and active, they'd probably train you in a language at the very least before they deployed.
