The PSZH-IV amphibious scout car is a further development of the previous FUG. The PSZH-IV is sometimes referred as an armored personnel carrier because of it's capability to carry 6 troops. This vehicle was in service with Hungary, former Czechoslovakia (OT-66) and Iraq.
The PSZH-IV provides protection against small arms fire and artillery shell splinters. Vehicle is fitted with NBC protection system.
Unlike the FUG the PSZH-IV is armed with a turret-mounted 14.5-mm machine gun and coaxial 7.62-mm MG.
Vehicle has a crew of three and can carry 6 scouts. Troops enter and leave the vehicle through a small door located in each side of the hull.
The PSZH-IV is powered by the Csepel D.414.44 diesel engine, developing 100 horsepower. Unlike the Soviet BRDM-2 amphibious scout car, PSZH-IV does not have belly wheels for improved cross-country mobility. Vehicle is fully amphibious and is propelled on water by two waterjets.
