Corky Laing Interviewed by Mark Nomad on Don Odell's "Legends' Here in part one Mark & Corky talk about Corkys remake of "Like A Rolling Stone" Woodstock , Mountian and much more
Nice to see Corky finally come out of his shell... has to be the nicest, most coherent man in R n R history... and one hell of a drummer!!! Love the Woodstock story
THAT is a great story! Well told! I had no idea about Corky's pre Mountain connections with Felix and certainly that he dubbed the drum track to Goin' Home. My appreciation of him is magnified. What a cool guy, too. Thanks Corky for the great Mountain show at Catholic University 1970.
Now THAT was a really great 15 minutes spent listening to a musician I always liked but never knew how interesting he is! Going to listen to part II now!
You could almost believe Corky's drums were added to BLOOD OF THE SUN in post-production, replacing ND Smart's performance. A lot of tomfoolery was perpetrated on "live" recordings back then. In any case ... that's Corky on that double vinyl.
WOW! I didn't know Corky could shuffle his way through Rick Lee's performance. Always saw Corky as a great power drummer that many people copied later for years. Kudos to you, man 👍
Corky is SO COOL! Not only is he a KICK ASS drummer---but he has a great personality to match! mean, he is a HOOT with his storytelling and I love his sense of humor as well! He reminds me a lot of Alice Cooper
HEY wait a darm tooton minute Corly said that Felix told him in the studio he was changing the songs name and Corky said thats ok as long as you give me credit for the words BUT here corky says he did not know that Felix changed the name of the song Who Am I But The Sun intill he got the gold record for it ???????????? He is like Paul McCartney always changing the story lol but thats ok i like Corky he is cool
Good talker .A charming guy . Lots of stories .He drops a lot of names , but doesn't sound conceited at all . He has the pedigree to back it the fuck up .
