@@parrisjackson7102 man I would cut my pinky off myself in front a crowd, just to have one day being 19 years old again and just Me and Tyrone schooling dogs and getting fucked up and raising hell and not having a care in the world for us being us.
This is why I wanted to here Ricky and I want to here so much more , I'm Joe Woodall and I thought people was mad at me for wanting to here and meet Rick , I have been talked to Purdy bad on Richard's Thang for wanting to here Ricky, thanks Ricky for this great interview, I no so many old dog men that want to come ant talk with you and that's me included
Mr Woodall I have stood up for Mr Jones since day one... I am just a unknown dogman that’s been in these dogs for 50 yrs as was my great grandmother and her mother... I have first hand knowledge on a lot of things that were spoke on as most of these great dogmen ran the ole chittling Circuit ... I have spoken for years on the vast knowledge like him or not that an interview would enlighten people on the history of his great contributions and knowledge to these amazing animals... it’s priceless .. I cannot thank TRIP J AND MR JONES for making this happen enough ALL GLORY GOES TO THE BULLDOGS
I have always wanted to hear from Ricky Jones. In North Carolina in the late 70's and 80's everybody in North Carolina was talking about Ricky Jones. I would like to know his opinion on the Red Boy or Bolio dogs. Also, what kind of keep did he use on his dogs. Did he use steroids on his dogs? What dog food he used? Good interview - Thank you
Love the interviews. It's great to hear bout the history. Love the the mentions he makes, and you also did a great Job Southern JJJ. Tornado and the Devine .. Seems the only way to beat some, was sneaking in one against their own stock.
Man I met Ricky back in the 90,s at one of my buddies house he was real serious with them hounds ,if they make it through his test you have a good one..
Glad to see Ricky give Mike Gregory The credit he did. I learned more in the 5 years I got to spend around Mike. Then all my years before. You couldn't have asked for better people than Mike and Pam. I'll never forget all of our times Together getting higher than a giraffe's a**. And talk in bulldogs. Rest in peace Mike.
Ricky Jones our modern day Earl Tudor had a big impact on the dogs my opinion, knew most of the older dog men from the early 70’s on most are dead or out of bulldogs but time goes on
That was a good one J. I’ve read so much about these old dogs of the golden era. Great to hear the stories from someone who was actually in the thick of it. I’d like to know if he saw the bad signs in jeep that people say was suspect. Also like to know, who in his opinion was the best match dog and best dog man?
He's kennels were immaculate, he had round pads and cable runs and a room on his yard that had a bath built in the wall so he could stand comfortably to wash the dogs
Whatever he did outside of the bulldogs is his business! But RJ Aka the Rebel was the best around at that time , He bred raise condition some Great Dogs Period ! Latinrascal !
If you do it again. I’d like to know what he thought of GrCh.Homer and his daughter GrCh.Spookie.Why would he take Homer uphill rather than just getting another the correct weight. How does he compare the Bubba stuff to the Homer stuff. Why he crossed the Jeep with the Rascal and how the cross compares to either line before they were crossed.
Super gnats racehorse. Always seen his ped never heard anything about him? Won 7 hog hunts. Ask him about him and ol billy the kid Stepps heard he was a wild dude!
Very nice skeet I wonder is ol man Bill Trumplet still around would be nice to do a skit on him he I born n raised Fla bound fella alot of you prbly never even heard of him but let me tell ya those whom know him he is a legend n highly respected gentleman he could stand right on the side of R Ramsey,R Boyles n n The Rebel do ur research Jjj u think u can do a skeet or with someone whom knew him by chance n some of the dogs he is famous for. Oh yeh one other gentleman I would have love to have had some of his stock in Infamous Bobby Ackel! Yes he is another made his mark not too many youngins heard of him but some these ol tymers have !! Ask em about Mr Ackel you'll prbly...😏😌😎
I would like to know about the match between sandman vs stp buck how did it actually go n also what took place between boomerang going into zebo it never took place why?
Triple j I would like you to ask Mr Jones about his keep and what gave the idea to conditions his dogs the way he did it is said that brought some of the best looking dogs to the show
I thought he said he never went into queen of hearts, but I read somewhere that queen of hearts beat his dog lou. Is that true. Also, is it true that a shot of epi killed sandman or is that a myth? Thanks.
I know I enjoyed the interview as well The Rebel u can tell he was speaking from his heart n was as honest as could be too when an ol tymer speakscthis way deep down you know he is beening very honest to all whom are listening he is a good ol fla, country boy to the heart deep down he owned n bred some of the best tht look thru a collar I wish I could buy the collar tht sandman n shady lady wore I wonder of much they would've sold for??🤔🤔🤑🤑🤑
This is interesting.think about it he’s got 300 head of dog. he loses at 46 pounds and instead of looking over his yard to get another 46 he goes up to Lesters and buys a 43 to go uphill 3 pounds. I can remember calling rebels and blues, brother brothers kennels and writing letters as a teenager after they beat diamond Jim with that champion Sally bitch.
Hell many reasons, one being he might have been sure the lighter dog could be the better performer. kinda like the dog might have been a 1 in a1,000 quality animal. you know as well as I do Mark some of those quality animals only come once in a lifetime to a regular guy. and he had the means to buy those quality animals from guys and turn that investment 4 or 5 times over. It seems like smart money to me. of course we are talking 1980 here. now a drone will follow you to the bank.
@@southerntriplej8061 You're right, but sometimes answers to questions just leads to more questions. On all accounts GrCh.Homer was a solely offensive dog. Whereas a know GrCh.Sampson would transition from defense to punishing offense as needed. That's why I liked Sampson, but I'd be curious to know if that was the same reason the Rebel called him his best. Then there's the rumors of Sampson being off Homer. That Bubba had never produced a dog like that until Homer was on the yard. You know how those rumors go. I think Pirate was a black and white dog with a thicker tail and longer hair if memory serves me right. I know that shit don't mean nothing but just fun speculation. It would be nice to hear his thoughts on some of this stuff.
In Ricky's opinion, which dog was better.Homer or Jeep? We all know Jeep won, but was it just a question of Jeep being in better condition than Homer? If he could have any of them 2 dogs, which would he prefer? By the way, you just got a new subscriber from Englang (UK).
@Spr95Que Ok As I know of an individual who has legit paperwork for his dog and the bloodline goes back to Mountain mans homer. Its a young dog.I dealt with jeeps line before. But this is the first time we had this type(blood) of dog. I first didnt believe the paperwork. But after checking, double checking and again confirming the paperwork and bloodline is correct.I thought it was bullshit. But anyway this is why i was asking about homer
I would like him to tell a little more about jeep since he seen him go. Since the last few years all you hear is jeep was a cur. Get in detail more on the jeep Homer match. People saying jeep was trying to jump the wall, homer wasn't condition good, homer was in bad shape all that stuff. He did say jeep and homer were both good dogs but jeep was conditioned better but Id like to know more detail if possible from someone who was there instead of these young guys who wasn't even born calling jeep a cur ya know
I'd be interested to know what the Rebel's been up too since then? Does he still keep up with the current news? His opinion on being blackballed out the game back in the day? (I mean, when I started in the mid-90's,, older heads wouldn't hardly speak on his name. You'd have to force the conversation like there was bad juju involved.😂 He was a polarizing dude.)
If anybody knows how to get ahold of Ricky, I would sure like to talk to him. Mike gregory the tennesseen And his wife pam Was my good friends. As mike was my Mentor and the dogs . Wanted to talk to you about Mike Gregory, if anybody knows? I would appreciate it
wow. whats crazy is you think because a puppy is rough its game. do you know how many curs Ive had that would kill litter mates as pups. MOST Dogs are completely fine as pups. that dog was a anomaly! Ive had a lot of anomaly's. As a matter of fact I just seen a anomaly dog Stop in less than 20 mins just working livestock. she was So bad the guys had her pumped up because she was like that with her litter mates. but guess what at 2 years old she was just a Rank cur. You can't judge a pup
