It’s just checking the output, signal verification. You could go to their website to look up the details on the product, information and specifications.

Did you ever get around to making the good vs bad compressor video ? I searched didn't find anything obvious don't know if you mentioned it somewhere else drop a link if possible 👍

Never got that far customer ended up not doing any more repairs.

@@coldfinger459sub0 ok no problem. I encountered this same type of issue and it was definitely the compressor the manufacturer resistance rating is from 0.7 to 1.5 ohms for a good compressor mines read 0.2 ohms and megged ok; im trying to find if there is any tolerance when it comes to these ratings or once it's out of the specified range it's absolutely bad.

@@westindianhvac in the situation they had a nearly 30 pounds overcharged. They thought the reason it was not cooling was refrigerant charge. Turned out nine air handler‘s filters were completely plugged. One air handler circuit board was fried And the guy they hired to come figure out why it wasn’t pulling calls first thing he did was started adding refrigerant and kept over writing the automatic shut down to start it up and force more refrigerant in and then it was going to automatic shut down load again and he just kept bypassing until he roasted the compressor with too much liquid refrigerant

@@coldfinger459sub0 one thing working on these systems taught me how leave my ego at home, because rash decisions lead to costly mistakes, even when I'm sure i know the issue i still ask other techs for a difference of opinion just incase i over looked something. These systems will expose a hack tech in a heartbeat.

HOMER READ THE MANUAL YOU CAN OHM THE WINDINGS ON A 3 PHASE COMPRESSOR. MAGGY WILL BOTTLE SLAP YOU FOR THE INFO

You can ohm a compressors and it may look good but fail when under dynamic load in operation. In this case you have to wait for a week because you just think it’s the inverter board while the customer loses $200,000 in product then after installing the new inverter board it starts up it works for a couple hours or a couple days and the compressor shorts out again and burns up the new inverter board you just installed to get it running because of the intermittent bad compressor and the customer loses a couple more hundred thousand dollars because you think you can just ohm the compressor. And that will tell you whether it’s good or bad. Not in this case

(Winding temperature: 14°F ~ 104°F) Normal abnormal 1Each phase 0.53Ω ~ 0.66Ω Open or short-circuit V WHT W RED U BLKDisconnect the lead wire to the compressor at terminals. 3 minutes after turning on the power supply, start EMERGENCY OPERATION. W1 • After the outdoor fan starts running, wait for 1 minute or more before Measure the voltage between each leading to the compressor. U (BLK) - V (WHT) measuring the voltage. • The output voltage values in the above table have tolerance of i20%. V (WHT) - W (RED) No W (RED) - U (BLK) Output voltage COOL: 100V(58Hz) HEAT: 100V(58Hz) Is voltage output? W1 Yes Is output balanced? No Yes LED indicator the inverter stops due to over current? Yes Replace the electronic control P. C. board with the I.P.M P. C. board. No 1. Turn off the power supply of the indoor and outdoor unit, and disconnect the connector CN 551 in the relay P. C. board 2. Turn on the power supply to the outdoor unit, and after 1 minute or more passed, check the the resistance between the connector CN551 pin 1 and pin 2. Turn off the power supply of indoor and outdoor unit, and measure the compressor winding resistance between the compressor terminals. Is there resistance of 0.53" to 0.66" between No 0" Check the resistance between each terminal each terminal? Yes Return the lead wire of the compressor to the former, and turn on the power supply to the indoor and outdoor unit. Three minutes later, start EMERGENCY OPERATION. Clarify the causes by counting time until the inverter stops. 0 to 10 seconds: compressor layer short 10 to 60 seconds: compressor lock 60 seconds to 5minutes: refrigerant circuit defective 5 minutes or more: normal Replace the compressor. 0" Replace the relay P. C. board. Infinity After 1 minute has passed since the power supply of the outdoor unit was turned off, disconnect the connector CN 553 in the relay P. C. board. Check the resistance HPS (63H2). Infinity Replace the HPS (63H2). HOMER WENT TO SCHOOL NOT TO BE A UNDER ACHIEVER I WILL GET MAGGEY BOTTLE WARM UP

@@TAGUPNBLUE yes very good And that’s exactly why TECH Support always has the technician replacing the inverter board and compressor as a assembly not one or the other no matter what. The intermittent shorts that you cannot check with an ohmmeter when the unit is off no matter whether it’s warm or cold Are always the hardest ones to find. I’m just glad I stopped selling Panasonic or Service and Adam over here in United States to the shittiest company at delivering parts. Panasonic got kicked out of the San Francisco Bay area everybody stop selling their parts and refuses to do business with them because they are literally the worst company on the planet at parts delivery. Half their product line comes with no foam to hold like motors in large cardboard boxes that bang around break off connectors break off the aluminum and cast ears for the bolt mounting‘s Panasonic will ship air handler‘s not on a strong wooden pallet and the shipping companies just throw them off the backs of the trucks smashing them because they were not packaged properly. Panasonic over in our area in San Francisco California bay area has let a electrical company that knows absolutely nothing about air conditioning sell and distribute their parts. Panasonic might as well go to Starbucks Coffee and make them a distributor outlet you would get the same service people who know absolutely nothing about the parts they’re selling. I hope wherever you are you have better luck sourcing Panasonic parts then we do out here
