Sir I have one doubt When we apply penetrant if the part is not fully covered with penetrant so we can say dwell time start...?? And when the party is fully covered with penetrant so what we can say it's draining time or dwell time.. I think when we use dipping method for penetrant application that time is draining time.. I'm so confused bt dwell time draining time, penetration time.. I think dwell time is very complicated thing so can you explain briefly..
When your area of interest is fully covered with penetrant, your dwell time is starting, if at that time penetrant is dry, you can apply additional penetrant, but dwell time is counted from start (from where you have applied penetrant first time). For the Dip and drain method there is also the same requirement, but after dipping we do drain
Immersion and dipping are both same. By mistake I have mentioned two words. Thanks for commenting this. Penetrant can be applied by brush, spray, immersion, pouring and by wipe (cloth).
