Welcome to the first video in this new series that I have been wanting to start for quite some time. After mucking about for about a year I decided that I would finally break down and go buy a proper stand for the phone at the store, added that with Apple finally updating the imovie app in like a decade it seems with better features and an API.
Today we will be taking a look at one of the most highly sought after Rolex(and possibly watch right now in the world), the Daytona Cosmograph.
We will be going over all of the features, showing the watch around in 4K for long periods of time(feel free to mute me if you must) and also a neat comparison when it comes to the lume of the watch. Something that I wished other watch reviewers would do, however have not to this date.
Of course with that lume test I will be showing some of the other watches that I have coming from a starting point of Omega brand watches.

Thanks. Only wish that Rolex had made the option to upgrade to a full gold strap available as well. That way you could have a full gold Daytona but be able to keep the Cerachrome bezel instead of be forced to have a solid gold one. But due to casing all that can fit to it is the Oysterflex sad to say.

@@nicholasjohnson6880 I did think it was interesting that the full gold model didn't have the cerachrom bezel available on it. Fortunately for me I'm only interested in the oyster flex anyways haha so I will wait for it at my AD and be happy as ever when it shows up. Cheers brother.

Just picked mine Sup and don’t understand why they are going at a big premium, but as I researched it has to do with the chocolate dial... chocolate dial is special for Rolex and man is going in thr 40s

@@nicholasjohnson6880 Thanks 🙏 Well of course it would be nice to have it sooner than later, but everything worth something is worth fighting for. So to me the wait is a small price to pay for not getting screwed without a reach-around on the grey marked.

@@BufanMuayThai This is true. I refuse to pay a $20,000 "I drove to the store fee" to get a watch I want. Pure highway robbery at its finest from individuals that just want to keep something away from actual owners that want a fair chance of it. I have heard the argument that many purchase them so that they can offer the watches to those who live in areas where, it is suggested, that the wait time for a specific watch is 10 years. However, they completely go on the flip side and charge the price of two of those watches. So in that regard you cant have your cake and eat it too. Will probably get a Root Beer two tone here in 2023 since I have promised that I would get a very special Omega dear to me for the past few years first. Even before I stumbled upon the Daytona. However, knowing of its rarity my Omega AD understood and had no hard feelings when I had to call off their purchase to get this one. To which, I have promised that i will not have the issue again.

@@nicholasjohnson6880 Easy a 20K premium on the chocolate 515. I see these local here in Europe advertised at 60k $ As you, I can’t fathom why anyone would purchase these. I get if you have the money to spend and all you can have it quick and easy on the grey. But I don’t understand why someone would get it without having the full experience of doing it through the proper channels, and beat the game, so to speak, which I won’t deny comes with some satisfaction. The RB GMT is very cool. Have had a sweet spot for these for years. When the right 16753 Clint Eastwood comes along I’ll be there with bells on. I have gotten me an allocation for a 126622 Rhodium as my 2023 piece at the same time I got the allocation for the Daytona, so I’m also set for the foreseeable future. It’s a very nice Omega collection you have. My Rolex AD is also the resident Omega AD. May I be curious and ask what the Omega model you initially went after was? I my self has been propping my AD for an Omega. However he would sign me up, but he was very upfront with me, and said I would be nr. 49 in the line for a watch Omega haven’t even brought to show them in their boutique yet. I politely said I wouldn’t bother them for that because I found it quite improbable that 40-something people would decline the offer before they got to me. Funny how an Omega for me will be the “impossible one” when at the same time, everyone is raving about difficulties with Rolex and Patek.

@@BufanMuayThai Thank you kindly. Currently I have a Blue Side of the Moon Aventurine sitting at my AD while I am away on business for the forseeable future and have been dying to get a proper one. It just amazes me that there is so little media on the watch not only here on youtube, but also on instagram and most of the Omega related pages. The craftmanship and glisining that you get from it in the sublight is just fantastic and is a must see in my opinion. Yet, no other watch company other than Bovet of all makers actually utilize aventurine to its fullest. Lord knows that I wont be able to come near to affording a Bovet unless I win the lottery in some sick and twisted way. I await coming home and getting a proper little studio set up to that I can better show some of the Dupont Lighters and Watches for others just to glare at mostly. As Im sure that there are a few videos on here that do a good job of going over the proper specs and history of the watch, however it detracts from the main reason why people want to watch. The watch. lol

Sadly can’t, all those videos have been deleted. (That and no one else seems to mind, but I guess I’ll get a downvote for that) However, if it’s just the watch your after with no commentary and better lighting that’s also available as well on the channel.
