This a total team work presentation with leaders like Pt.Rajan-Sajan Mishra ....most able & "sensitive" ( much suited to the mood of MALKAUNS) tabla accompaniment by Pt.Subhen Chatterjee & Pt.Kanta Prasad ( Harmonium ) .... INDEED A TREAT FROM THE MASTERS!
Listen this also a very Rare and fabulous rendition of Raag Malkauns By Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Saheb ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sisG8crGoEQ.html
It’s hard for me to express my emotions when I listen to this. It’s like I explore something new every time I hear this. I feel fortunate to understand even the slightest of our Indian classical music.
Hats off with hearts to the great masters Sajan and Raajan misra pandits for their performance which touched all the hearts of listeners...... Happy tears can not be controlled for the unknown universe felt while listening........
Avinashdixit01: Sadarang was the pen named used by one of the greatest singer in the court of Mohammad Shah Rangile. His real name was Ustad Niyamat Khan. Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan himself used the pen-name Sabrang. Listen to his Gujri todi or Jounpuri , which are his compositions and you will come across sabrang.
This presentation of Malkauns really touching. Pt. Rajan & Sajan Mishra are marvelous, they atmosphere created by this short video is excellently touching the heart and the inner soul. For the people who had interest in Classical music, all will love it.
Great rendition indeed. I had the pleasure of listening to them over the weekend in Ft. Lauderdale Florida . My family and I just loved it. The tabla player is excellent-definitely first class. I have also heard Sudhir Narain- his rendition of Raag Malkouns is much deeper and his low notes goes beyond the first note of the harmonium. I will post a live clip in a few days.God Bless these masters.
Mukn More More Muskat Jat Ati Chabili Nari Pat Kar Sringar Kahu ki aakhiyaan Rasili man bhayee Ya bhid Sundar Va Kehlayi Chali Jaat Sab Sakhiyaan Saath
God bless you !!! Its the virtue of gr8 performance that one feels he / she should reach the same height and be able to replicate it. Your wish echoes the same.
An accomplished tabla player I have had the fortune of associating with referred to the Mishra brothers as the finest classical vocalists living in India.
@mrg69191 hi, pt Sajan Mishra Rajan's concert from a dvd mondomix called " musique du monde au théatre de la ville" and there are many excerpts from concerts with musicians of the world dvd Mondomix Media 2004 - Harmonia Mundi distribution I hope you can find what you seek....
Obviously, the vocal presentation is par excellence. However, the tabla is equally sophisticated. The percussion is soft, slow tempo, sensitive to the vocal nuances, has interesting variations and obviously the work of a master. I wonder if anybody knows the name of the tabla artist.
Balm to the mind and soul. However for complete bliss, listen to the full version, lasting for more than one hour and beginning with ' jin ke man (mind) Shri Ram biraje....

I also believed that the taans were well placed, and the manner that they conveyed raag Malkauns, is very accurate to the raag, and that fact that they were able to do it as a couple, hitting the same notes at the same time, made it that much more exciting for the listener
