But, he didn't produce the music, it was "Mr.Mixx" who was from California. Fast music was the thing all over Black America in the 1980's, especially cause of "Planet Rock". Jamaican music was slow, and NOT party music UNTIL Dancehall in the mid- late 1980's. 808's was being used in Hip Hop by 1986 as well as cabinet speakers for the bass been popping in NYC since the 1970's! You wouldn’t understand because you’re not from Miami. Luke literally just told you where the sound came from. We didn’t have to listen to New York music which was monotone when we had the sound of all of the islands. Everyday you could hear the music of different islands blasting while people danced in the streets.
