I will agree with people saying the Chucky "nerf" is actually a great buff, but I think they nerfed scamper in the wrong way The way they did it essentially took away one of his core mechanics, and the only way you can do it now guarantees that you won't even be able to get a hit unless the survivor goes straight (likely not gonna happen) Maybe they could make it where Hidey Ho's timer gets decreased when scampering by a small amount?
Now that I don't feel penalized for trying to use Chucky's Hidey Ho Mode for stealth, he's become a lot more appealing to me. Like Ghostface only with a variant of Demogorgon's lunge instead of the Exposure power....and he's permanently crouched. I think this iteration of the character actually deserves his spot in DBD. I still think Chucky's powers as seen in the movies are poorly translated to the game, but I can at least accept this guy as a distinct killer.
His power fits perfect if u watched the movies the way he lounges at people and i dont rly think hes that problematic especially compares to knight spirit nurse or skull merchant
@Tae_7348 I actually did watch the movies SPECIFICALLY to see if there was something they could've done better. And yeah, they completely underutilized him. Chucky did more than just lunge willy nilly at people. He set traps, he used improvised weapons in the environment to get cheeky kills, and he can POSSESS BODIES. At least now with the reduced cooldown his stealth is pretty nicely translated from the movies, but once again the main part of his power is something directly shared by an other dimensional animal and a rogue agent in a world of zombies, and indirectly shared by the manifestation of guilt, the perfect alien predator, and a bio weapon engineered to kill police officers in a zombie world. It's so GENERIC, and a big shot like Chucky deserves better than that imo.
0:55 Wasn't Scamper removed while using hidey ho? Acording to the notes, supposely is just usable while doing Slice and Dice: "Scamper is now only available while performing a Slice & Dice." Or what was that, a regular window vault?
I thought so too and was annoyed at the patch notes, until I went to the PTB and discovered that it seems like they actually meant that you can't vault windows during rushing at someone with a knife..
You have to predict the direction the survivors will move to and tilt the camera in that direction when you're about to start rushing at them with your ability, that way you'll be more maneuverable
