How come Pogba always plays magnificently for France but almost nevet recreates that form with Man United? The answer has to lay with the direction he receives, or in other words, the coaching. When Manchester United finally find a coach that can bring out the best in Paul Pogba they will start collecting silverware again.
Sure some of it is the coaching. I personally think pogba isn't as confident in himself in United shirt compared to France. The reason being, in England everyone is waiting for him to make mistakes so they could crucify him. However, he's adored in France. Confidence is a big deal in football. You can see he isn't scared to try new things with France bc he knws the coach, teammates, and French ppl respect and trust him. When he first arrived at OT, if u noticed he was a beast. He was getting like 3,4 shots per game, making tackles, crazy passes to Ibra. But the moment United old reds, tunr their head on him, criticizing absolutely anything he does both on and off field, followed by fans, that's when his performances started to dip, dip as in, not playing with high confidence. Let's be real if you get criticize for any little thing you do, best believe u won't be at your best. For instance, no matter how many games he won, or how good he plays for United, the moment United lost, pogba is automatically inconsistent. Bottom line, he isn't respected in the eyes of United greats and some fans. Same shit happened to Raheem until he switch to city before he became himself again. Pogba needs to go somewhere else.
There is too much pressure when you play for manchester united. Look at Sancho. Playing for club-like manchester united is probably one of the hardest things in the world when all the eyes of the world is on you.
I lost the meaning of football whn Paul Scholes n Stevie G retire but then came in Paul Pogba wth his right hand up saying dont worry i am here to fill up that vacant space in ur heart
