Things can get tense on the beach. We wouldn't want to be on the other end of a spray from H-Man....would you? (Reminder to listen to your lifeguards!)
Hello bondi rescue I’ve been a fan since i was 7 in January 20th I am coming to visit Australia Sydney because my Aunty lives here I WILL FINALLY VIST YOU GUYS Btw I’m 11 ps once you guys have sent me a happy birthday vid thanks a lot for that😊 See you soon🎉🎉🎉
Me too! I've done that, but also slipped into semi Aussie speak whilst commenting, then proofread before sending and realize I said 'mate' or 'ambo' without realizing it. I don't talk like that other than here, on Bondi Vet, or on Ozzy Man videos. Most times I'll change it to how I'd normally speak, and sometimes I will miss it completely. Tells you how much I watch, as well. LOL Love and Light to you.
Clint's a top bloke, ain't he? It takes a real legend to stay calm and understanding in the face of someone flipping out, especially at the beach where emotions can run high. You never know what kind of difference it might make.
My parents would tell me when I was around 4 at Bondi my i would run away into the water, usually I wouldn’t get far. One day they noticed too late, I went outside the flags and there happened to be a rip exactly where I went, I was pulled into as my parents looked around for me. As they looked to the water their worst fears came true, but a life guard saved me. If they hadn’t saved me I wouldn’t be here today, I wish him well and thank him for saving my life.
If someone tried to save my life, I would never ever talk back to them - even if I thought I was fine, they’re obviously the experts - people confuse me so much
Harris de-escalates like a gd pro. What a legend, he doesn't care about bravado or being "right", he cares about everyone staying safe. No wonder he is the big boss. Mad respect.
@@MrPeterthebest I just meant on the sand. Pretty sure hoppo is more in a management roll at this point. Not that he couldn’t run down and run the show at the drop of a hat 😂
There's a trope that women will hold grudges and backstab for months after a conflict, whereas guys just need a good fist fight, a handshake, and then they're best friends again. It's so true 😂
@@jacobb7608 That's true. There are women like that. I'm not one of them, but I know they are around. I try to talk it out and if that doesn't work you don't have to be friends.
Of course, it's not always sunshine and rainbows. Some friendships face deeper rifts that require more than just a quick laugh to mend. But the easy-going nature and shared experiences of the Bondi lifeguards certainly give their friendships a head start!
These people who ignore all the signs and warning, they need to start being charged for Lifeguards time. Similar price to ambulance call out. These guys deserve a lot more.
Mario needs some serious training. I imagine their jobs can be very difficult at times but Mario seems like he doesn’t speak clear English. Yikes. Tough situation when there is conflict that they can’t put aside to get the job done.
Keep in mind that TV shows use the most dramatic parts to entertain viewers. I'm sure he isn't as bad as he seems to you 😊 especially considering they are only about 20ish minute episodes. Thats not nearly enough evidence to come to a conclusion.
It’s a good thing you fellas are doing what you’re doing! A lot of these guys just think there Aquaman rolling into the water like they do. You guys are doing great work keeping the community safe 🤙
Harries (very upset): Look at the signs. Educate yourself. How much is your life worth? Every Bondi lifeguard I've seen has conducted themselves so kindly in many dangerous and scary situations. This specifically boosts the positive outcome of every incident and is a major reason why Bondi has such good overalls outsomes ❤ Well done, each and all of the Bondi crew!!! Thabk you for all that you do 😊
*Mario is much better than when he started, but he does have a hard time admitting errors, and does have a hot temper naturally. He's tamped it down a lot over time with the crew, but it does flare up on occasion. He's changed a lot though, and we all need to keep working on something, right? Temper and a bit of arrogance is his. His heart is good.*
I feel like it was more stubborness than anything. I'm pretty stubborn with it comes to asking people for help- I refuse to do it because I want to prove that I'm independent and can do it by myself, which can cause more harm than good in some cases, and I can see a similar thing happened with Mario. But I think he's gotten through that.
I think the concern is, while he’s learning these skills that he needs to work on, someone could die because of them vs the mundane consequences the rest of us might face while we’re still working on certain things. I agree that we all need to work on things but maybe he should do that outside of a job where these skills are critical and lagging in those skills could cause someone their life.
The issue is that this isn’t a good job to work on fixing that in. This situation could’ve ended in someone dead because he didn’t want to admit he made a mistake. Yes, everyone has problems, but you have to work on them so that it doesn’t put someone at risk when working a job that is the difference between life and death
If you're growled by the Bondi Lifeguards or any lifeguards know its for a good reason and they genuinely care about you, your safety. I'd worry the day they stop caring. Thank you for the awesome work you do guys keeping everyone safe 🤩😍
I have been obsessed with bondi rescue to much, you know it’s serious when you can copy a Australian accent as an American 😭 All of you guys did great! Thanks for keeping us safe!
the people that are smiling when getting scolded or lectured by the guards saying how dangerous the current is and how they couldve died are just so annoying! they think everything is a joke and dont take dangerous currents seriously, and they dont even appreciate the lifeguards saving them!!
I️ will never stop asking “Do Aussies usually curse this much?” The answer is “yes but PearlescentMoon is just really good at being kid friendly”. I️ just find it funny how casually they do it
Obviously Mario was NOT clear in his directions as the lifeguard on the water was unable to locate the Swimmer. He continued to say ‘here, here’ which is unclear!
As soon as I saw those two geniuses at 6:53, I thought, ah...british. And then the voice over later says "The men, both from the UK". how did I spot the specific entitlement from afar🤣
A lot of people don’t realise how serious their situation is until it’s too late. I wish more people listened and listened properly to lifeguards. Probably unrealistic but, it’d help if lifeguards possessed the power to issue the equivalent of penalty notices and ban people from the sea on safety grounds. It shouldn’t require the police to do it after people have been warned by lifeguards multiple times, because people who ignore lifeguards limit the life saving resources available to others who are in danger. Great series. The dedication is sterling and reassuring for beach and surf lovers.
Wonder if Mario ever gained insight into using better methods such as the landscape to communicate to his peers where the swimmers in trouble are. I'd like to know how he made it as a life guard. The guy could've cost a life with his "hea, hea, hea nonsense" n then have the cheek to be peeved off. Get rid of him, he's incompetent.
Good for u Singlet taking the first step with Mario..who needs a lesson in learning to get along n give up His ego! He's in Australia now not from wherever he came from!!.. Sorry but they expect special treatment as in.. you just go along with his attitude..he forgets Where he is, Australia not from his home wherever he came from!!!
Why not put tall flags with letters on them to mark areas on the beach. " he's in-between Bravo - Charlie markers, 50 meters from the beach. He's 10 meters to your left" (remember someone facing you, their left is your right, so be mindful of what they are seeing )
9:46 As a Dutchman I will never understand how little respect these people have for the ocean and other large bodies of water like that. They have no clue how dangerous and incredibly powerful currents can be, and how quickly it can take your life. What's more is that their stupidity and ignorance is putting not only their own, but also the lives of the lifeguards at risk. I absolutely understand the frustration the life guards must feel after literally just saving some moron's life, and he's just sheepishly smirking at you like it's no big deal and you're just overreacting. No dude, you literally almost just died and you don't even realize it. You ought to be on your knees thanking that man for risking his life to save yours. Even if you don't know the dangers of bodies of water like that, all the warning signs and the fact that there's so many rescue personnel permanently stationed right there at the beach should tell you something about the risk level involved..
I think it’s because this video is a compilation of “public freak outs” when swimmers talked back to the lifeguards which means the clips that they included could be from any of the seasons of the show 💕🤷🏻♀️
People don’t get that if there’s dangerous currents & riptides that can drown them it makes it more dangerous for the lifeguards to attempt a rescue. Just because they can swim good doesn’t mean it’s not a risk for them under those circumstances.
harries was agitated he is passionate avout his job amd making sure everyones safe sometimes you got to get loud to male people umderstand the peril they were in
It’s a bit concerning that Mario is wrong and can’t admit it and learn from it when their job is to save lives… he’s choosing to be stubborn and keep making the same mistake over saving lives and learning. Idk that’s scary to me.
Look you need to start putting these signs in different languages, so foreigners can actually READ them, and stop blaming them for swimming in the dangerous zones They don't understand our rules !!!!!!
Mario is definitely the one in the wrong in that situation. I get people tend to get defensive in general, but he knows you can’t say “here” over a radio and expect people to know where that is
The crew at 9:29 is hilarious. There's like nothing going on upstairs. "YOUR MATE NEARLY DROWNED". "Ok". He's trying to explain to them how dangerous this was and they're looking at him, smiling like they've had lobotomies, brainwaves nonexistent. Even if you don't understand English which they claim they do, most people would at least understand the situation is serious.
Poor Mario just doing his best in a panicked situation, video shows he did actually say north side , glad it was solved in a positive result. Keep up the great work fellas
