American here. Yes. Should have sent our troops to prevent the Invasion. Put in a no fly zone and sent a peacekeeping force. May as well ask if you could go back in time and send American troops to beat Hitler in Poland to avoid them fighting a World War would you? Absolutely my family had to fight they probably wouldn't have had to. There would never have been a Vishy France or the British Blitz

If those that say that they support Ukraine would send to Ukraine the military aid that it needs NOW, there would be no need to send European troops to help oust the Russian invaders.

My opinion : every soldier should choose self.

Everything should be on the table. We need congress approve the aid package right away. We shouldn't have any stipulations on Ukraine aid. Americans should vote out pro-Putin republicans. We should have NATO troops ready on the border. Russia should be kicked off the UN security council.

At the moment, whilst Ukraine has the manpower to fight this war, Europe should not send troops, but Ukraine should be supplied with everything it needs to win.

It is a difficult issue. If one NATO country like Francs decides to send troups to Ukraine, what happens then if Russia sends a missile direction Paris. Then all NATO countries are at war. So I don't know if that will work. I personally wish NATO would send troups though or enough weapons if that is impossible

:) well... Before sending europeans there, maybe ukraine should have conscription? Ukraine is a 43 million people country. at war, and it has something around 1 million active and maybe twice that in reserve, they could easily pull from their population without ANY problems 1 million men.

We can all be saviours of freedom and contribute to containing Russia. For example, by donating to Ukraine24 which finances drone programmes.

The Problem is: Sending troops alone would not solve the equipment issues, and maybe even make it worse. Although the idea may sound appropriate at a first glance, the various consequences must be considered. This not only includes supplying the troops, but also taking precautions for possible retaliation of P°°tin in the countries the troops were sent from. And the latter will also include terrorist attacks to the infrastructure and the population, because this is what a coward like him would do.

Whether or not western nations intend to send troops into Ukraine, they should send a clear message to Putin that all options are on the table. Telling him we won't do this, we won't do that, only projects fear. Putin understands only one thing: force.

France is not in any danger to be attacked or invaded.

Most of these responses are hedged by hoping war will not come to them, which is totally understandable, as nobody wants to go to war, including myself. It all boils down to the hope that Putin will not attack NATO directly. Unfortunately if the west waits to find out, it is likely going to be to late by then. So being resolute now maybe the only real option available..

Nobody in his or her right mind want war. - But the question is not if want to go to war, but if we are prepared to go to war, when war comes to us. Nobody in the EU or in NATO is prepared, and I am not talking about supply, stockpiles, manufacturing or training. I mean we are mentally not prepared to even stand up and defend ourselves. It takes time, money and efforts to get prepared.

NATO should have sent in troops from the very start. Place them along the Northern border to protect Ukraine, not to attack Russia or Russian troops unless they are themselves attacked then all bets are off. This would release Ukraine's troops to the front line. A couple of Divisions in the North and an enhanced Brigade near Moldova (Transnistria). If those being interviewed knew what war was really like, if they really had any understanding of what Putin is and will do; they may understand that we cannot escalate this situation any more; it is already full scale war. There is only one way to stop this, and that is to defeat this invasion of the West by the Terrorist regime in Russia.
