So today we are taking a trip on Phuket's public transport aka The Smart Bus and we will be traveling from Kamala beach down to Kata Beach.
The smart bus is a great cheap way of getting around the west side of Phuket each journey cost just 100baht per person and you can travel either from or to Phuket International airport as well for the same price.
We start the morning off with a quick look & walk along Kamala beach before stopping off for a quick bite to eat Breakfast at Ying Cafe now called The Hotpan Cafe.
Then we make our way to the bus stop for the smart bus before traveling through Patong, Karon beach, and on to Kata beach.

Tony I was intending to go to Phuket just after the borders opened up again early 2022. Did a bit of research on the smart bus. They used to charge more for longer journeys if I'm not mistaken. 100 baht flat rate simplifies the fares structure I guess. You could also get a 3 day pass for a few hundred baht more. Great value if you're doing multiple trips. I was wondering how long you'd have to wait for the bus. 15 minutes late is ok. Smart bus had a reputation for being a bit unreliable initially. Teething problems maybe. It seems pretty popular so they may add more services if demand grows. Of course Grab bike is another good cheap option for a person travelling by themself.

I must say Tony you kind of drop the ball with this one. There is also Free WIFI , Smart Card : Pay by Phuket Rabbit Card is allowed , Wheelchair : Handicap Accessible Entrance , CCTV : To give the passenger a sense of security throughout the trip , USB : Every seat with USB port for charging , GPS : Real-time Bus Tracker System I believe that at least some if not all of the buses have been converted to Electric Power
