When I use a geotiff and display the value of a pixel it has too many decimal places (18). How can I make it so that only two decimal places are seen in geoserver?
@@germanvelaochaga900 You can round the decimal values for a GetFeatureInfo request from a raster in GeoServer, but it's typically done on the client-side. In your client application, you can extract the value from the response and use JavaScript or another programming language to apply rounding logic and display it to the user.
@@germanvelaochaga900 Glad it help you, We're currently working on preparing the advanced GeoServer course, and unfortunately, this will take a lot of time.
Great Video,.. I really aprecatte it it's very usefuly, I realy congratulations you for this tutorial. By the way, I want to make a question: ¿how I'll do to plubilsh raster layer if a have: 1.- A bounch of raster files (almost 2400 images) in tiff format 2.- A big Raster (a little more of 500 Mb) layer. I did this but something it's wrong because Geoserver send a laaaaarge error message, this in th case of the Storage type ImageMosaic; in the case of big image, a did it but when I try to preview it, Geoserver send me a download, obviously I don't need it,... ¿Do you have idea about it?,.. thanks on advance,.. Best regards Francisco
To publish a large number of raster files in GeoServer, use the "Importer" extension. Gather your raster files, place them in a directory, and ensure they are geographically referenced. Install the extension, create a store, and then publish all the raster files at once.
To publish a large raster layer in GeoServer, prepare the data in a supported format like GeoTIFF. Publish the layer with appropriate settings and optimize performance with caching, pyramid, and scale-dependent rendering options. Consider using WMS or WMTS services for displaying the raster layer efficiently.
