I have tried this method as well as another method..I am having huge data so once I add the extract filter I will get the message saying"gathering field values" it will take unlimited time like 5 hours or more..so forcefully I am stopping it...can u pls suggest me on this issue

@Ritesh.. Nice presentation.. I am new to tableau ..can you try making a video about a) Incremental Refresh b) best Methods to refresh an extract 3) design considerations to be made before creating extract like in some BI tools there is memory space issue to store the cached data along with publishing it(Memory space availability has to be considered)

why have you created a data source filter instead of extract filter. Extract filter acts before data source filter... when there is no filter on extract ..it pulls whole data to extract and data source filter restricts it showing in worksheet. But if you look into extract we can still see data.

3:16 PLEASE NOTE WE NEED TO DO EXTRACT FILTER INSTEAD OF DATA SOURCE FILTER, THAT WAS BY MISTAKE ,SORRY FOR THE SAME

Can we create visualisation using empty extracts as I am not able to see my visuals any more it’s blank

HI Ritesh while creating empty extract I am getting this error The extract has a different time zone from the underlying server. Calculations using TODAY() and NOW() and relative date filters will give different results. can you please provide the solution or can you pls make video on this
