@@SeasideGarage There is a product here in the U.S. called evaporust and it works good on rust and is biodegradable I used it to derust the fuel tank on my Peugeot.

If that old carb is seized steel in aluminium you could try soaking it in Potassium Aluminium Sulfate (alum), which is commonly used in pickling. Warming it up would speed things.

Seaside Garage I’m not a chemist but I like easy options! If you break a rusty screw or a tap in aluminium you can use alum to dissolve the steel out, I only learnt this last year. With your carb it might tend to dissolve the piston (and any other steel parts) and so you may need a new piston but could hopefully save the carb body.

Well i have the same issue With the foxi moped The magneto or flywheel I have no clue of the size of tool To look for I measured the inner threads Where the tool will thread in The caliper measured 20.33 Mm I guess thats the size or Can some one correct me Thanks
Ethanol gas has destroyed that carb. That round thing that is stuck is called the "slide" You will never save that old carb, even if you get the slide out. Ethanol is VERY corrosive, and the slide and carb body will be BADLY pitted. I love 2 stroke exhaust smoke. I love the smell, and the fact that it is so politically incorrect. Considering the condition of the carb, I would check the condition of the tank before going to all the work and expense of rebuilding the engine. I have seen tank in frame mopeds so badly rusted that the whole frame broke in half. Remember that the tank doesn't just hold gas, it's a structural part of the frame.
den har faktisk stået tørt de sidste 20 år... Men den har ihverfald været godt våd da den blev sat ind... Stellet er dog fint. :) Den er også 47 år gammel... ;)
