@@frankrizzo4460 unfortunately not, he just committed d3. I think he’s a very skilled defenseman but I have never actually seen him play in a game so I have no input on where he should be
@@123hockey9 Ok thanks for the info. I love the sport of hockey played many years ago when I was young just as a hobby with my friends. Thanks for these videos.
In real hockey it’s just about instincts and quick reactions, not goofy skating like that. Also if you’re short and have a small reach, that hurts. And if you’re soft you’ll never win possessions for your team.
You really don't seem to know what you're talking about. It's not goofy skating. High mobility is very important. That one legged serpentine he's doing is called a Scooter, and the best puck protectors in the league do it all the time. It combines deception, and using your body to shield the puck because it can't be poke checked when your back is to your coverage, otherwise they take a tripping penalty. Laterals and tomahawks, and quick transitions to front and back are also huge tools for a good offensive defenseman. At Elite levels you have to spend hours honing specific instances. He's honing his blue-line work in the O-Zone. Gaining possession is irrelevant to this specific line of training, and at what I'd guess his level to be, progression is measured by the 1000's of reps.
@AdamHararrah "Dude"... I play hockey, I know how this shit works. You do your reps off the ice and solo over and over so it becomes ingrained as something you do naturally. Hockey is so fast that 99% of what you do has to be instinct. You do this over and over and over until it's mind-numbingly boring, so that you can do it in a real game.
