+Francesco Maniero Different people deal with extremes in different ways. For instance, I can't play a Fatal Frame game without endlessly blabbering on lest I sh*t my pants. Maybe the English VA's had to come up with the most ridiculous things possible to cope with the darkness of the story? ...or they're just made of tougher stuff?

+Francesco Maniero The Madoka production was a very secretive operation, and so, when the voice actresses signed up, they had no idea that they would be working on something so dark. The storyboard and future events were concealed from them, so they didn't know what was going to happen next. They found out about what transpired in the story only when it came time for them to record their parts. So they found out about all of the heartrending moments in the story in the process of the performance. Obviously, that sort of thing wasn't possible with the English dub, because all of Madoka had already been out, and the English voice actors already had the chance to know everything that happened in the anime before having to record for it. So they were able to come to terms with the show's dark elements and twists before performing their parts.

+alexc773 well, not true.... Not everyone has that kind of time to look up information or even be aware of it at all times. The voice actress of Mami didn't realize her character was going to die and...well....couldn't really believe she died when it happened in front of her in the recording booth (she wasn't breaking down, but was just in serious levels of disbelief of what she saw).

+Garuda1Razgriz Sarah Ann Williams, the voice Sayaka, was apparently the only in the cast who had watched the show sometime before the dub was even in the planning process.

I heard the english voice actors for Homura and Madoka cried during the scene where Homura tells Madoka the truth about who she is. I could be wrong though, but yeah it's really funny to see jokes

Wait, I don't think that's Sayaka. Doesn't she have knee-high black socks, not thigh-high white? Considering that they're white, I'm guessing that's Madoka, but I'm not one hundred percent positive.

(Responding to my own comment with some new info, woo!) That's not Sayaka, I can 100% confirm now. If you look closely, you can see Madoka's pink hair up in the top right. You can also notice that she isn't laying on ground or water - she's laying on some sort of sheet (probably her bed). Sayaka is never shown in her bed - only Madoka and Homura are, if I remember correctly. And with Homura, you would see her hair end further down, not up at her shoulder (also different socks). Plus, if Sayaka was dead, she wouldn't be laying on sheets - she would be laying in the train station. Socks are also an indication since they all have different socks, and shoes are an indicator for Kyoko and Mami, and those are the main reason I noticed, since you can barely see anything but the uniform. Anyways, um, yeah. Doesn't really matter, just me being a dork, lmao.
