Puerto Escondido Challenge 2016 by Ardilla Films 

I surfed this place in the ‘80s before the jet port was built and it was heavenly. Not too many surfers, a simple town without modern conveniences, and of course, the wave. The biggest wave I rode in over four months there was maybe 20 feet on the face. About the smallest wave shown in this film. And yes, it is an unbelievable wave. Everything you ever wanted in surfing and everything you ever feared. It is a steep, fast wave, and the power is comparable to any other slabbing wave. And I’ve surfed a few in 42 seasons. I still think about waves I rode there in 1984. I dream about those waves. I was young, strong, and fearless, or so I thought until I heard the first tube detonate on my rookie paddle out. I’d never heard a wave make a sound like that. It was like a bomb went off 20 feet from me. It was absolutely terrifying. My sphincter tightened involuntary. Then I nearly broke my eardrum on my first pathetic attempt to make the mineshaft drop and instead was pitched like a swine upon my head. I limped up the beach on my four hooves to surf the point. It took me a week of severe beatings until I navigated my first tube. After that, I rode hundreds of waves there in four trips. Unbelievable tube rides. Viscous wipeouts and beatings. Broken boards. Two near drownings. Stitches. Severe disentary. Wonderful people. Great food. Good mates. Ah, my beloved Puerto, we’ve both grown old, but we still have some fire. Thanks you guys for surfing that place huge, and for the filming. It transported me back in time.

Love watching this place. Just a 'heads up' not sure how much experience camera man had of filming surfers but I am sure a few of those wave would have been made. Cuts away a bit soon.

Knowing that I've ridden a wave that big before without it having perfect shape like this, then yes, I would ride this no problem

Ardilla Films you know nothing about surfing. First 5 waves you cut out before we know what happened to the surfer. Your post-director should be fired. Just sayin...
