It's HT Kitchen's Annual Team Building Weekend and for this year, we went to Puerto Princesa, Palawan!
After an unexpected delay, we arrived in Puerto Princesa later in the morning and spent the afternoon in Mitra's Ranch and Baker's Hill before checking out their local market for our food supply in the coming days.
Second day, we prepared our packed lunch in the morning before heading out to one of Puerto Princesa's hidden gems, Nagtabon Beach. A lunch boodle fight feast was the first order of business! We had a fun-filled afternoon playing games after lunch, walking on the powdery cream-sand beach and battling it out with the strong waves. We were fascinated to see young surfers trying to catch their perfect wave to ride on. Later that evening, we went to Balayong People's Park and had our P200 meal challenge at the food park. Watching the Interactive Waterpark come alive was a great way to end the night.
For our third and last day, we visited the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center (a.k.a. Crocodile Farm) and learned a lot about the fresh water and salt water crocodiles, as well as the other rescued animals under the institution's care. We headed to the Pasalubong Center for some last minute shopping, enjoyed our late lunch at Balinsasayaw, before heading to the airport.
We always believe that spending a few days with the team outside our daily grind is a great way to learn knew things about each other that help improve our communication and coordination at the kitchen. It's a great way to build camaraderie within the team, in a more relaxed environment. We are blessed to have the opportunity to share our love for travel with our small circle at HT Kitchen. Thank you Puerto Princesa for the memories we'll forever cherish!
