I have a quilt my Mom made 50 years ago.. by hand on a quilt stretcher holder. She made by herself. It had a design … the flowers were Iris… there were 4 petals… 2 light color too then fill color on bottom… like the petal if an Irish. The square were like about 10 or 12 inches…. 3 squares across… enough squares to cover a queen mattress. You could make a bedspread or as a topper with a befskirt. She made a border all around the quilt of jade green dark… each square were all mulipule colors like all Irish. ( you have to see full. What made it even more unusual… she stuffed each Petal… so it was three dimensional. Just magnificent. Wish I had it folded in tissue. I have never seen one like it.??? If she had a patter?? She was very creative seamstress so It may have been her idea. The filling is mussed down now… I think a good quilter could refill? Any ideas where I could send it? I live in Memphis and so few quilters down here! For some reason middle and East Tennessee have more. Lost Srt. My parents were from Muddle/ East Tn… Pulaski, Franklin, Fayetteville, Chattanooga. Like this video so much. By way, I not a quilter! My Mom was such a perfectionist she like to quilt everything herself. She wanted hervstiches perfect. They were. Sorry so long … trying give visual of quilt. 😄. She would have loved watching all the sewing, quilting shows. Be so thankful your Mom, grandmothers taught you. It is a lost Art. I remember her pressing everything with Iron as she cut patterns out. Patterns made from brown paper bags, wax paper, tissue paper. Amazing the help you can buy now. All the quilts were by hand. She just didn’t want sewing machine for them.

Sit down Girrrrl… first I am a red head naturally ( have help now cause I don’t like the faded brown all red hair goes to, I have a semi round face like you, hair cut similar but worn should length when a young woman. When I attended Mississippi State College fo Women in Columbus & Ole Miss for graduate school! Funny Funny… sit down I had a roommate one semester from Iuka!!!! I don’t remember her name. You see her posters on wall were Hereford Cow and mine was the WindSong guy. Needless to say we didn’t Have much in common. lol. Amazing . I am a little older than u. 80… yep. 63 to 65 MSCW then 2 yrs at Ole Miss. All History happening. All over country then.. little did we know. I would love to send u pic of quilt. I am so illiterate with my cell phone! But my bestie can do it. I wish you could see it and get idea how you might make it. I have never seen any like it. Would be wonderful for it to be reproduced. Might be a week or so as she out of town. I was a Journalist here in Memphis mm, Taught highschool English in Maryland, North Carolina, then Paralegal with Federal Court ( paid mucho better etc.). I am going to send you a websight you may like to watch. The woman is 90 ( looks & acts 50). She is from Australia but lives in Alabama now. She has holistic / Christian Place in Country. But she has taught so much of how Castor oil is for healing in so many things. No drinking. Sounds Wierd but it may help toward colon matters.. Bear with me… just watch a for your own point. She an husband are chemists. I have learned very common sense things on videos. One. Wait thing is.. one drop caster oil on finger or brush… on eye lashes, bro.. careful to it get eyes if church… the hair will grow thick. Yep. Ya put it on every day… usually at bed. Women do same for wrinkles an thinning hair. Yep itworks. I will drop it to ya. One thing I learned.. gut issues causes all kinds problems as we age… drink lemon squeezed in small glass every morning… drink or eat nothing! Have breakfast and meds about 15/20 minutes later. Nononobon soda… drink Ginger ( scrape it and it makes great drink over drink , cherries, whatever. I drink it warm with tea morning, or like ice tea. Soo good but so healing in gut, etc to organs. I giving too much info… but you may really enjoy video. 😄😄🙏🏼🙏🏼. The woman name is Barbara O’Neil… u will be blown away how she looks.. no makeup. She is chemist, Christian lady that gives pure wholistic sessions for our health. She. Used caster oil with oil on face.. amazing results. ?? This seasons is old but hope u read it!
