You have 450 subscribers. 100k people don’t own the peak pro you num nut people watch your video over and over because it’s confusing and most people are in your comments saying you jacked up their piece permanently. I have put 5 ounces of dab through the rig and didn’t have this problem because I cleaned it. You had seepage and it probably got a lot worse after you tore the thing apart and removed glue that you just never put back. You’re an as hat on RU-vid views are nothing I can bot a video up to 20k in a day.
@@jordanbruce I just comment on 8 separate comments that said you did I’m not going to keep digging . The issue is you overlook problems you don’t want to have . Not an engineering brain more of a donkey
The fact that this video had 100k views and youve only got 400ish subscribers is ridiculous. You deserve so much more then that. Thanks for the video brother very informative and very well done. Keep up the good work 👍
If you need reassurance is just did it and it’s really not that difficult I couldn’t get the charger port put together right but half an hour of messin with it I got it to look fine little messed up but works
Amazing video just cleaned out mine for the first time it was gross. I did have slightly more adhesive because it’s the newer model which caused a little tear in the silicone. I noticed that it wasn’t in an area that it would effect it so its still working great. Thanks for the amazing video!
Thanks for this, I just did this without realize I needed that special screwdriver but I still managed to snap the metal part back on. I only have around 1k dabs but I used like 20 swabs lol
3 years 5600 dabs later… I now have a clean Peak! It was a mess and went wonderfully. I actually had reclaim outside the silicone under the metal band, acting as glue. Thanks for the video. I wouldn’t have attempted it without it.
T6 is the precision driver you need for the screws. Thanks for the video! Have thousands of dabs on my peak pro, thought I could just change my chamber and it would be fine but after a few weeks it kept hitting me with blinking white or red. Though this is a bit of work it does fix the issue! Appreciate the help!
Thanks brother I had to order a new one after 4700 dabs it was disgusting after taking apart it leaked into the electronics and gave me that red white red white death glow now thanks to you I can keep the new one clean.
I had to order the right screwdriver bits halfway through (T6 in case you guys were wondering) but i got it all back together. Preciate it man. This vid helped a lot
@@valledecauca1087 ah man i can’t remember it’s been so long… i think i actually went down and tried T5 and it ended up working. I’m not positive though.
Wow I did this so fast because I watched your video like 4 times before fully doing it to remember every step and it literally took me maybe 20 minutes to do everything! I have the opal peak pro and it was yellowing and after taking off everything it’s back to the light color! I can’t even believe how different it looks with a good clean!!
Damn I love the opal peak pro tho 🔥 I broke my original glass in my peak pro, just a tiny drop into my sink not very hard either but that was enough to break the mouthpiece part off so instead I had a shard of glass sticking up I mean technically still usable if you're into cutting half your face off when you're dabbing. 😂 So well, my point is I'd love one of those but i don't think I'd ever buy one my dumbass would end up probably breaking the glass so maybe I wouldnt even think about having it leave my carpeted room then... I've got the Antidote I think 4 inch glass piece right now with 7 or 8 perc holes it's not too shabby. I don't think you can really find the original opal glass anymore, I've looked just to see. Ofc can't find any of the whole opal rigs in stock either which doesn't surprise me I think they were very limited.
Ya I have no idea how you guys are fuqing up your shit so bad but that part is sealed with adhesive you’re not supposed to do this. The air holes go straight to the glass . Really so confused how you could fuq up the piece all I ever had is a tiny bit of residue in front of the air holes but it’s on top there would be no way for it to go in the cracks. RIP
Hey bud I was just about to do this kinda video and I found this. Great vid! Gonna be sharing it with only the customers that understand when a door says pull you don't push. Thanks for you work!
If you break off that retaining tab on the plastic ring around the charging port, it will make subsequent cleanings easier. Without the tab, you can remove that plastic ring with a pair of tweezers and won't have to unscrew the device. The tab doesn't do anything other than make the plastic ring more difficult to remove. The ring stays snug around the charging port without it.
Haha. I broke mine off by mistake on my old Peak Pro trying to stick it back in, and it made life so much easier. When the warranty runs out on my Guardian, I’ll be doing a deep clean and breaking off that tab. Thanks for the great guide!
Bought the flourish so I decided to give this a go on my Opal. Super easy step-by-step and I wish I did it earlier because I couldn't get all the yellowing out and I had a bunch of reclaim under the metal band holding it to the silicone.. Looks SOOO much better though and now I have two peaks haha
Thanks for this, I have had my pro since release and boy was she nasty inside. It can seem a little intimidating but honestly was a really easy task and I'm glad I did it. I have myself a brand new pro again lol
I'm new to the puffco family this is a grate video tutorial for beginners watched the whole thing and can't wait to try it's gonna be a challenge but i think i can manage may use the video for help thank you so much stay puffy
Completed this well needed cleaning. My only concern after putting it back together, my chamber now sits noticeably tilted towards the glass. No idea how this happened but it works so I'm not about to take it all apart again. Thanks for this!
Did it on my first try, slightest cosmetic damage. Broke part of the charger port cover, but it still clicked in at the end perfectly. Thanks for the awesome tutorial! I only had 850 dabs but it sure was like 1000+ 🤣🔥
As someone who’s been thinking of this or the Dr dabber switch this is super handy 🙂 I don’t think I’d be getting to 1500 dabs anytime soon but once I do I’ll know how to clean it if I go for this device.
Trying to pop it off is where I went wrong I guess. Now my puffco no longer has a warranty and is broken! I wedged in the Philips and there was no pop, used some extra force cause you said it may be difficult and I realized I was pulling off the plastic along with the hard plastic, if you put a flashlight underneath the hard plastic (when unassembled) there's a bunch of holes from me ripping it off, that's the glue maybe? The point is don't try this its not worth ruining the look of your peak if you fuck up like me.
Fair warning.... tried this on my v2 pearl and it was ripping the silicone on underneath the metal band. Safe to say they put waayyy stronger adhesive underneath it now. Wish I hadn't tried this to be honest
Also just tried this on my v2 with no luck whatsoever i stopped trying thanks to your comment this should be way higher up in the comments, have you found a solution yet also hope you were able to fix your puffco please let me know if you found a solution there isn’t even anything on the website for it absolutely ridiculous
I have a question. Do you have to take out the charging port in order to put the plate back on ? Because I for someone can’t manage to get my base plate back on
Yes. The entire reason I take the charge port off in the first place is so that I will be able to put the plate back on. It is best explained from 6:13 to 6:35 in the video 🫡
Ultra curious to know what sort of batteries are contained within. More 18350’s in series and parallel? Also, as someone on the fence about buying one of these, those molded plastic halves look incredibly inexpensive. Pcb inside has to be ultra cheap. Flat flex cable is scary as I’ve used these in the past and have and connection issues. So where is the 400 dollars? How much hype is tied into that price tag? Not trying to be a DB. I really want one of these things and I’m trying to justify it.
I think it’s more of a is it worth it for me kind of question. I own 2 e rigs they just make dabbing easier honestly I don’t have one of these but it’s like the “premium” brand so that’s how it’s justified to them . . . I’m rambling on after a dab lol if you can afford an erig tho ( any kind ) worth a try
I thought my puffco cause just defective when I started noticed buildup under the silicone and not just underneath where the glass goes but also build up on the sides where you hold the peak im right around 1.5k dabs so I feel like it’s the perfect time to do this
Thankyou verymuch im about 2100 dabs into my pro and your video helped me clean it completly thanks a bunch bro, cerious do you knw how to fix the flickering led light issue???
I’m afraid flickering LEDs usually means there’s a connection issue within the base, ie: a connection point that needs resoldering. Search “PeakTweaks” on Google and if there’s a technical issue within the base, they can get you sorted out without having to spend too much.
dude amazing I have the puffco peak pro I believe its the same one.i just got it last month as well as the 2dxl chamber.. is it the same one had currently on the site??? best vid on here
Hey guys, quick question. Anyone recommend a glue to apply back to the pieces ? I’d like to clean my peak and also make sure it’s completely sealed again. I have a Bambu labs printer that came with silicon glue for the connectors, can I use that same glue ? Thanks
Thank you so much for the video!! I was able to do it all, and it came out amazing! But i noticed i had a lot of build up inside the unit. Would it be okay to split it open all the way, to clean inside as well?
Yes that’d be fine too, it’s really just a battery and a wire leading to the atomizer connection in there, so just be sure to remember exactly how the battery and internal components fit inside.
Did this to a guardian and the bottom of that plastic charge port piece would not let go of the metal band. It semi broke off and got a little bent, but still clicked into place. Almost broke my charge port.. wireless charging would be the move if you do break that port. I also shaved some plastic off that port so I could easily pop the band on and off to clean regularly. The silicone around the bottom is loose now but I guess thats okay.
Do you know if doing this Will this void their warranty? I have an opal and it’s started to look kinda bad under that silicon.. but don’t wanna void anything if I have issues down the road. Thank you
It will not void the warranty if you do it as instructed. The “void” sticker is at the front seam of the unit. If you only open it at the back as far as I do in the video, you won’t break the void seal and your warranty will remain valid.
@@jordanbruce thank you so much for your response will be trying this soon been trying to figure how how to deconstruct it to get in there just like this. Your video is super helpful
Having an issue after almost 3 years with the pro, the power button isn't acting like it wants to work at times. Anything that can be done about that???
Ive got a lot of build up under there i can see but ive been scared to do this. Im afraid it wont work once i put it back together lol. I asked Puffco what to do long ago n they told me it wont affect the functionality of the unit. Im thinking eventually it has to.
I wish you could get a replacement sleeve from puffco mine has tare around the air flow to the glass. Cleaning for the last year and a half finally got it. You know anywhere I can get one?
Can’t even seem to remove my security screws on the bottom, I’ve used T4 all the way to T7 and none move the screws at all, I got a precision kit from Amazon with multiple bits and even both a solo T6 also just to check that and none move any of the screws any help?
This buildup doesn’t constitute a warranty claim, Puffco considers this normal wear and tear. Unless your Peak breaks for some other reason, you won’t be able to swap it out on warranty :/ The good news is, this isn’t very hard to do (in my opinion).
Hey man I was about to do this because last week my lights started doing weird things haha so I guess after me 4000 dabs it might be a little saucy on the wires... Anywho if you have ever fixed this issue or maybe even recorded it might you be able to upload it?
Hey Jordan! My peak has residue underneath the surface that you cleaned in your vid. Looks as if it would take further disassembly to reach. Any advice?
I had 5000 dabs on my with no cleaning just cleaned it oh my god it’s insane mine was so bad you could see the claim through the silicone and the glass
2:17 question ❓ is that glue as in from factory? Or another word for the reclaim when it's cold lol man i hate that oil gets under there they gotta fix that cuz its like the ONLY big issue I have with it my peak has oil all over the insides cuz i never cleaned it and really treated that unit like a tank a test unit and it lasted 2yr never clean until it finally i guess shorted it when oil got too deep inside the CPU or w\e electronics inside. So that sucks but it is good at the same time cuz they can with stand a lot of abuse
@@DJdeliverance Yep, glue from the factory. There’s a little bit of glue in a couple of spots between the metal band and the silicone. Like little drizzles of glue on 3 spots, both sides and the back.
@@jordanbruce is it really meant to be taken apart like this will this void warrantee?b cuz I'm able to return mine so I usually end up doing that before a 2yr mark lol. Really wish this wasn't an issue tho but it happens over time idk if there's any avoiding it. The other cool thing if you leave it off it's like having a white one lol not sure how it would function that way tho lol. Thanks much appreciated. We gotta clean out the guardian now before it gets this bad lol the 3d chamber was a game changer
Hot glue is the best option if you’re going to use glue. It is sticky enough to stick forever but will also come off when you want it. However, the plastic piece around the charge port acts as a lock for the metal band, so you really don’t need to glue it if you don’t want to.
@@jordanbruce the plastic piece got a lil bent on the removal. It's still fine and charges but I'm not sure it "locked in". It seems it did but I'm only 75% sure. Thanks for everything
