It would be great if you guys could make a video that compares the Puffy Lux to the Puffy Lux Hybrid. I’m trying to make up my mind between the two but cannot find a side by side comparison video anywhere :/
I’ve owned this mattress for about 8 months now. For the first 3 months, I thought it was great. As time went by that all changed. I bought the Puffy Lux Hybrid in a Cal King. I weigh 158 lbs. I don’t know if it’s just my mattress. However, it lacks support. It’s too soft. I like my mattress plush but with support. This mattress lacks support so much that when I was moving to a new home, it was almost impossible to even move it from one location to another. It wouldn’t stand straight. It kept folding and sliding. It was a nightmare trying to move it. Almost gave up and threw it away. I’ve never had that experience with any other mattress. I really wish they would have built it with more support underneath all the plush, it would be prefect. Unfortunately I regret making my purchase and I’m already shopping for a replacement.
Thanks for sharing your experience. It's really helpful. I was pondering about giving it a try. I tried the Sealy hybrid Silver chill and like it but got swayed by the puffy.
OOO YES> THE PUFFY LUX HYBRID. ONE OF MY DREAM BEDS. the perfect balance of softness and support. and as a SCIATICA sufferer this just seems like it has a great balance of pressure relief and support especially for us side sleepers. PUFFY seems like they really got something for everyone.
Giveaway Answer: I prefer a more medium-firmness mattress because I am heavier and also have a lot of back and shoulder pain. I find with the softer mattresses I sink in a lot and it doesn't quite support my muscles joints as well. Great channel! Would love to be the winner next month :)
Giveaway: My husband and I are side-sleepers. He has sciatica, and I have to use 2 extra pillows just to be comfortable. A body pillow between my knees, and another to put my arm over. It’s ridiculous. We always wake up tired and sore. We need this mattress.
Plush = perfection! I’ve had my eye on the Puffy Lux mattress for awhile, and I think it will be a great choice. I’m a side-sleeper, so a more plush mattress is preferred. Combine that with the hybrid option, and it should be a winner 🤩
you guys all weigh less than the average (US) male! The average American man 20 years old and up weighs 197.9 pounds; the average waist circumference is 40.2 inches. let’s see what these mattresses can really do, please.
Giveaway: I personally enjoy a plush feeling mattress! I have been sleeping on an extremely firm mattress for the past few months and it has exasperated my back pain to all new levels 🤦🏽♀️😂
Terrible experience with this mattress. Sleeps way too firm for side sleepers. I’m convinced nobody who reviews this mattress has actually slept on it. Top layer has a nice spongy feel, but there’s not enough of that layer to make a significant impact. Definitely not soft or plush. May be ok for stomach or back sleeper who likes a small layer of cushion above their concrete slab. Disappointment in a box.
The hybrid version looks tremendously thick. The features of hybrid coils look almost hard to feel through that many layers of foam. I personally sleep hot and am a combination back and side sleeper and prefer a medium firm mattress for support. Great review

I bought this mattress in king size. It is so soft and it fixed my wife’s back pain. It’s so comfy that my kids dont want to sleep in their own bed anymore. And now my back hurts bc I don’t have any room in my king size mattress with my 2 daughters in our bed now.
Giveaway: I liked how you guys did the transition of the puffy from with cover to bare mattress! Curious, y’all mention hybrids for heavier individuals.. what about a non heavier customer... how do they hold up? Thanks for the video guys!
I prefer a bit more plush I’m a petite combo sleeper but I find myself more in my side the most, but I sleep in a 20 year old and hard twin mattress witch hurts me a lot after long hours working for the US military, my goal is to get a queen Alexander Hybrid for me and my girlfriend so she won’t trow me out of that little military twin matters anymore lol.
Giveaway Been looking for a mattress forever! So tried tempurpedic lux breeze soft and it is anything but soft! Wake up with back, hip and shoulder pain! Really want to try this but afraid of making another mistake uggh
I prefer a mattress with a medium firmness, rather than a plush feel. Plush makes me feel like I'm sinking in quicksand. Firm is better than medium, too. This seems like a competitive market--hybrid with memory foam.
I'm unsure of what I prefer. I know I don't like firm. I do love my memory foam topper. I've been looking for a new mattress but need more affordable. Under $500 would be nice. My hand me down mattress is over 30 years old.... lol
I really wish I could have gotten this but already tried puffy base model and only 1 return allowed so couldn’t take the risk. Such a great company and comfy beds. Just all foam slept too hot. Also prefer medium. Not too plush.
Can this bed be used on an adjustable frame? Everything with this mattress looks very promising but I would definitely need a mattress that doesn't get all messed up from my adjustable frame.
Giveaway: we need a more sturdy or firmer mattress. He’s over 100 lbs heavier than me so possibly a split king would be our best bet with an adjustable frame.
Great review Owen! Just as I was about to pull the trigger on a Puffy Lux (all foam), I see this new hybrid is at the same price and may be nice! Especially at half the price of a similar Beautyrest Black X Series Ultra Plush with the 4 different layers of foams and pocketed coils. As a medium frame 165 lb. side sleeper who prefers my crappy old latex foam sofa to any of the fancy beds we own, is there an advantage for ME to go for the new Lux hybrid instead of the Puffy Lux?
Giveaway: I prefer a more plush mattress and need one that has the best pressure relief...anything on the firmer side of medium and firmer puts me into horrible pain. I sleep mostly on my side and this mattress looks amazing but im petite so i worry that it may be too firm for me. Great review on this newer model
Giveaway: Honestly, I'm not sure, but just purchased the top luxury Brooklyn Bedding, and think it may be too firm for me except for the edges. I LOVED the way the pillow-top felt in the store, soooo maybe more plush?!?
Has anyone actually bought this mattress want to know if it is actually a good mattress I am a sleeper and currently have a beautyrest black and we are upgrading to a king and I constantly toss and turn because of shoulder pain
Giveaway Answer: I switch from my side to my back while sleeping. I have a medium to firm spring mattress and cannot stand it. I think I would like a combo of plush puffy. 🤷🏻♀️
Do I prefer a plush mattress or one with a more medium firmness? Plush sounds great for the short term, but I think I would prefer a mattress with more of a medium feel for the long term. Though I will say, this Puffy looks like it would feel amazing! As always, thank you for another AWESOME review! I hope you all are staying happy, healthy, and safe!
Giveaway: I am definitely partial to plush mattresses as a side sleeper. The Puffy Lux Hybrid looks like a soft, scrumptious and invitingly comfortable marshmallow, but with support. Wish I could have this one! Thx for the review Owen!
Giveaway Question: I prefer a softer mattress as I am a strictly side sleeper. I’ve tried other mattresses but I like a softer, plush feel versus a medium or firm feeling mattress. Good job on the video as always. Take care, have a great day.
Giveaway: It really depends, I have back problems and need something to give support. I love a good soft feeling but i don’t want to be stuck because I also roll around a lot.
Giveaway: My husband and I prefer something with a nice combo of plush and firmness. He prefers beds a bit firmer, but I'm mostly a side sleeper, so a little more plush is better for me. 😊
You know this is not as easy to answer as you might think. A plush mattress feels great to me when I first come to bed, but I will often awaken with a back ache. A medium feel is what I usually go for, although sometimes (as a side sleeper) I wake up with shoulder pain. Good video. Thank you.
I think I prefer a more medium firm mattress since I sleep on my stomach 95% + of the time but boy am I excited that the rumor was true and Puffy released a couple hybrid options!!! I tried talking hubby into getting a puffy for months (I like it has a washable cover since my kids are in and out of my bed) but he is dead against getting another all foam mattress. He wants coils(is also hesitant to buy another bed in a box-he thinks being in a box = weak coils). Maybe now I can open his mind a bit bout it.
Giveaway: As a usual side sleeper with back issues I prefer a plush mattress with a little firmness to it. So glad I found your channel in my search for a new bed.
I prefer a plush mattress over a mattress with a more medium firmness, as i love the sinking feeling on plush mattresses😄 The Puffy Lux Hybrid is definitely a great mattress for me, as it has a memory foam feel and a washable cover👍 As always, love the content from The Slumber Yard❤
Giveaway: I love your descriptions I’m looking for a new bed because I’m moving into a new house and you have been so help full literally your channel is better then anyone else’s out there you go through everything
Giveaway: while in the past I preferred a softer mattress, I now prefer a medium firmness. It’s great that Puffy came out with a hybrid, as I don’t think I trust an all foam bed to last as long.
Since I’m petite I do fairly well with softer beds however I don’t like when beds are so soft that they sink into a cradle so I think generally I prefer medium firmness
After sleeping on firm mattresses my entire life (and suffering with pain) I finally have a plush topper and I love the softness! So I definitely prefer a softer mattress. I want to buy a new plush mattress. As a side sleeper I need a plush mattress to keep the hip pain away.
Giveaway: I have enjoyed a plush mattress and thought I’d stick with that. However I recently tried a medium firm and it was comfortable. I think I’d like this bed though!
Giveaway: I love the feeling of plush but my lower back feels broken if I sleep on a softer bed, so medium is perfect for me, despite being pretty petite
Hi, I have a question for you guys. I would like a suggestion on what might be the best mattress for me to get based on my main concerns. 1) I have a herniated disc in my lower back and suffer from chronic back pain. So it is really difficult for me to get comfortable in bed. I am also just generally a light sleeper and end up waking up a ton and tossing and turning most of the night. I sleep on both my back and my sides. 2) I am a really hot sleeper, I use 100% bamboo sheets and covers that are supposed to be cooling but I still get really hot during the night. (I'm about 200lbs). So based on those things, I would like to know what might be the best mattress for me to get? I recently got the nectar, however, it is making my back pain worse and I am feeling much more hot during the night then the usual. I am returning it. Ideally I would like to win the giveaway but I know my chances are Slim. A suggestion would be greatly appreciated :-)
Giveaway- If I knew which we liked the best, we wouldn't be on our 5th mattress. We have taken all your videos lately and compared all of them. We came up with Saatva being the best hopefully for us. Guess we will give it out next best try. I'm getting exhausted with the process. But I do love the ability to try them for at least 90 days+ before we have to commit.
