Yeah the ferry makes it very obvious where he is. Rigs are no secret here, most drift a live flounder with enough lead to keep it right by the bottom.

Wrong, a REAL fisherman is part of a community that helps it's brothers and sisters get on the fish. This isn't some back country fly fishing stream that you don't want crowded and trampled. I have lived in the south sound area my entire life and we are a better fishing community than that. That old school mentality of "secret fishing blah blah blah" is outdated and lame. Not like you could catch all the salmon or lingcod or rockfish in the ocean so why not take some pride in the community and share tips with other anglers and not be a total douchecanoe

Appreciate the words! I would suggest looking into the WDFW website and looking through the rules and regulations for more info about different species in the Puget Sound. There are so many different types of fishes in the sound! Salmon is my favorite to catch.

You can launch out just about anywhere! Check the regulations for your area and get your line in the water!

Nyob zoo bro! Most areas near seattle/tacoma area wont be open for lingcod until May 1st. this year but you can check out MA-4 (Neah Bay, WA) which is on the north west side of Washington. That will be open for lings. WDFW game wardens are pretty strict here. Not sure about sturgeon fishing but if you want to read into the rules/locations, look up WDFW WASHINGTON Sport Fishing Rules 2024

Lingcod in the puget sound has a minimum and maximum size. 36” is the max size you can take home. Anything bigger must be released. They do this to protect the population of lingcod in the puget sound due to their low population count.

@@stevennalay5566 Good luck out there and be safe! Yes, fish underneath the ferry when it leaves. If you have a fish finder, you will see the rocky bottom only in that location
