The label needs you to do it, because it is an integral part of there business plan, they have other ventures tied into it. You may be on the verge of a mental breakdown, and they hire a “support team” for you. Their goal is to get you well enough to tour and complete contract obligations. Meanwhile you may be suicidal, you may need real healing. The professional they hire, knows their obligation is supposed to be the patient, but the label is paying them, and offering them more money for “results”. That puts pressure on these professionals, even the purists can be vulnerable to that pressure. You would be looking at the situation in a totality, and be right to distrust that kind of situation.
