I'd pay admission of a case or two of beer just so I could walk around your property and look at all your stuff. I like the color choice on the Pontiac too. It doesn't need to advertise its bad ass, that's happens when you fire it up.

Three comments come to mind: 1.) Car 'skills' second to none in terms of using what you got. 2.) Developing a vision in your head, then creating it with your own hands, in short order. 3.) Great on the road cinematography, better than some movies.

Totally agree, especially number 3. That shot at 23:15 is epic, like something out of a period road movie. Of course, having roads like that on your doorstep has to help. I had to smile when he turned-off that long, dead straight road, onto a long, dead straight road.👍😁 27:50 shows the 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑦 way to turn a big lump of car on a dirt road but it looks so cool from the drone.

Put a hinge on the license plate. Mount it a little lower so it can swing without bending on the bumper and let it just drag when it comes in contact with some thing.

My 15 yr grandson just helped me rebuild a 64 buick 425 nailhead. I would do it first then he would do the next job weather it was installing pistons or heads. His father knows nothing about cars. Sometimes it's up to us Grandparents to step in and help continue this great hobby. Or tradition of working on our own stuff. That's why we both love this channel.. great Job 👍.

I was watching the drone shot and thinking 'she must be a handful - he's all over the road' ......and then I saw the rooster tails and finally understood..........!! I absolutely adore that beast. From the low stance to the chopped roof and side window delete and the headlights so reminiscent of a 37/38 Chev, you nailed that thing. Paint colour is perfect and suits the beast like it was made for it. Some big chrome hubcaps and maybe a little tasteful custom pinstriping would really make her pop IMO, but she's still a sight to behold and looks good enough without them. Those glasspacks just add the final dimension to me....and the sound of shifting her up through the manual box just finishes it completely. I'd happily import the beast here and drive her until I couldn't drive any longer. Awesome to see it on the road again and cruising. That's what she's built for....but you know that. Keep it in the furrow, brother. All the best.

A very nice car. In 1974 I bought a 1940 Pontiac business coupe. It was all original with the flat head six engine. Everything worked, even the clock. It had sitting for about a year. We jumped it and I drove it home. It was really a cool car.

Cannot understand why, after so much work, you went and drove that beautiful Pontiac in circles in a field rather than driving it slowly and majedtically in a town center and filming the reactions of the public. That is role of these classics. They have historical value apart from being stunningly beautiful. As for keeping it uncovered in an old barn!!!! What a great pity. Do you want to sell it? You did a great job ( upholstery was not the best) on it and I admire your skill.

This gentleman has more skills than anyone I have ever seen, and I like all the lines of his modified '38 Pontiac. My only criticism is the paint job lacks lustre. I had a '39 4-door Pontiac approximately that color but it looked metallic bronze. I owned it from about 1950 to 1952. (I'm 97.) Later: I watched the video "1938 Pontiac Walkaround," and now I feel the original lines were just fine, and a better result would have been a refurbishment and good quality paint job.

Beautiful 38! When you said you hadn’t driven it in a year and I saw it stored outside, I said “mouse house”, then you find a nest. Advice: sell some of your less amazing stuff and build a garage for the treasures or just sell them too. A garage with mouse traps and electronic repellants would save you from cursing about mouse damage. Have fun wrenching!

The 1938 GM cars were the best looking of this era and the first “muscle car” arrived with the 1938 Buick Century. The huge (for the day) 1938, 141hp, 320ci OHV Buick Roadmaster engine and 3-sp trans was installed into the small Buick Special chassis and renamed the Century (100+mph). Police got onto using the Century as there were few cars-if any that could outrun it. A 1938 Century sport coupe held the National Hot Rod Association class record for the next two decades or so. Its performance seems mundane by today's standards, but in 1938, 320ci and 141hp was hot stuff. As for the Pontiac straight-8 boat anchor engine, my father had two of them and any Chrysler product 6 cyl could outrun it.
