As a European, when I watch videos of American farmers, I wonder where the hell is the aftermarket? Why do they keep all their old equipment stuffed in barns or outside instead of getting rid of the problem and getting money for it?

Very cool getting to see some of the treasures of the farm. I would enjoy seeing more of the Allis Chalmers tractors that were behind the combine and maybe you could convince your dad to share some stories about the old equipment.

Nothing like a farmer wakes up before the sun comes out and stays until the sun is gone if it wasn't for farmers people wouldn't eat been there done that lol people drive by a field and say a farmer has it made but what they don't realize is the amount of money and time that it takes to put a crop in and to get it out of the field and get it where it needs to go

I e a question of preference regarding tractors. I’m talking driveway and lot snow clearing / workhorse field machine. 2/4 wheel drive. I’m a drag blade kind of guy eh Thinking a model that supports a front end loader. An all in one mini farm 1st generation farmer. We do good corn and beans here, hay wheat…. Is the a brand/ model you would prefer for the first machine acquisition? Since you have such excellent taste in rigs, I know you have the same professional preferences in tractors too🤔😃

I think that these new set of videos showing the work on the building ought to be pretty cool. It will be a good way to show what else goes on, on a farm when y'all aren't out in the fields. I bet I'm not the only one that wouldn't mind if you were to make longer videos say 15 or 20 or even up to 30 minutes video showing the work on and in the buildings. To me these little less than 10 minutes videos just go by to quick lol. Please pass a Hi to little Miles and your Dad for me if you think that they would like to hear one from me. My Mom has the same pedal tractor and wagon from when we were kids. My nephew broke the drive chain a couple years ago because my brother and I rode it endlessly when we were kids. I need to split the case and repair it sometime. Still looks new, despite all the abuse. Not many of those things around anymore.

What is sad at one time Massey Ferguson had one of the best combines around where I live and then the dealerships pulled out. I have run an 860 and it put the cleanest grain in the grain tank I have ever seen and easy to set the combine. Unfortunately the MF stood for something else when you went to buy parts and work on it and it was not my friend or Massey Ferguson.

First wheat harvest I got to work back in 1983 we had 850 and 860 Masseys with 24 foot headers.Guy I worked for was out of Portales,New Mexico.

You don’t remember riding in the combine because those massey combines had that back ledge that was the perfect spot to nap

Spent many hours riding in the cab with my dad in a 860 just like that, also had a 760 too.

Is there anything that you farm that you guys can chow on? It seems that the corn you harvest is hard kernels? So, this is different than corn on the cob stuff we get in the summer here in Boston? Who do you sell your harvest to? Are soybeans used for soybean oil or anything else? Are they edible?
