Still one of my favorite pokey species. They're slappy, bitey, grouchy, completely lack interpersonal skills, and periodically fire poop at the wall, but all that can be said about my ex fiancé, too, so I can't hold it against them. I haven't had one in a while since my last one matured out male, and it's absolutely time for me to get a couple new ones now that I've started filling out the pokey side of the collection again. Picked up a Vitatta, Regalis, and Metallica at NARBC and I'm debating a Subfusca and Hanu... hana... haba... the Rameshwaram one. It has an H.

Hey alex. Hope you don't mind a little unsolicited advice. The title "I pull an egg sac from an angry tarantula. Featuring a P. Rufilata" would have accomplished the same message but likely have gotten you much higher in the algorithm. Love your content and think it deserves more views, so wanted to share some advice.

This is a cool channel. I am f rom Australia and have only really kept 2 species. We had a red back (Latradectus hasseltii) for 11 years caught in our backyard and she never was introduced to a male in our care but laid egg sacks every year. My favourite was a female funnel web (Atrax robustus) but I did not have her long enough to see if she would lay eggs. My school friend was given a shingle back lizard (Trachydosaurus rugosus) and after 18 months she had 4 babies (a world record) so she retained the sperm inside her until she had enough food. I want to know do tarantulas only need one sexual encounter just like our red back? The only male red backs I have ever seen was when we did not take the egg sack out one time and they hatched.
