I was diagnosed with PE this past Sunday when I visited the ER. The doctor said I have multiple small clots in my lungs. She wanted to admit me but didn’t because there weren’t anymore available rooms. So she discharged me and told me to return ASAP if I started feeling bad again. The telltale signs I had were shortness of breath, lightheartedness, and feeling like I was going to pass out. I’m glad I didn’t ignore the signs because I probably would be dead. To anyone else dealing with this or has family/friends dealing with this, I pray a speedy recovery for all. To those who’ve lost loved ones to this, my heartfelt condolences to all of you ❤
I collapsed in the street 3 weeks ago was ambulance driven to hospital and quickly diagnosed with p e ,3 scans and 2 heart examination located blood clots on the lungs spent 4 day s in hospital given blood thinners still in pain before think im lucky to survive
I survived this. I literally died. Till date,my lungs hurt when I breathe hard(especially when I yawn).I still wear a ted stockings and still on blood thinner. I blow balloons to help with my heart/chest. I don’t wish this on my enemy. It is scary and deadly. I am a walking miracle.
My friend lost his Mother recently to this. I am happy to know you overcame it. Apparently all the symptoms were there days prior; unfortunately it was overlooked.
@@jonathankneel8637 I am so sorry for the irreplaceable loss. Please accept my condolence on behalf of your friend. The symptoms can be subtle to be honest, and before you realize it, it is too late. I have plans to work on raising awareness about Pulmonary Embolism as a survivor.
I finished chemo 4 months ago. I’ve since complained about my port hurting my chest, making it hard to breathe, etc. Coming back from a trip this weekend I hit a deer on the highway, was rushed to our ER 10 away from town, and they discovered 2 pulmonary embolism in my lungs. I guess that deer saved my life! Killed my car but saved my life! I was in ICU for the first day then moved to a regular room. Given heparin intravenously and now I’m home taking eliquis pills! Crazy
I'm literally dealing with this right now. I'm 31 and have never been admitted to a hospital before this in my life. I've never broken anything none of that. I wanted to comment because you forgot something extremely important. I developed this as a side effect of COVID-19. I think that needs to be known to ppl out there that is EXTREMELY more likely to happen AFTER you have gotten rid of COVID. I am now dealing with the pnuemonia from it was well as this at the same time. What a time to be alive.
Im confined right now same side effect of covid. And this is my second life after that critical day. Thank GOD. Bless all those who are fighting. Don’t give up you are not alone and you will be healed in JESUS name.
I also developed this. I got covid in august and also started bipap therapy in September for sleep apnea. So I dont know what caused it. It sucks i got confused and dizzy once
Same here, I'm 37 and ended up with pneumonia and extensive bilateral pulmonary embolism, I'm 5 weeks out of hospital and on rivaroxaban and bisoprolol indefinitely, feel like half the person I use to be but thankful I'm alive 🙏 God bless you all and hope your recovery goes well
10 yrs ago to the date almost, I was let out after being hospitalized for 10 days for a PE. I didn’t realize the severity of it but im glad to still be here by the grace of God. My right left, calf area was Red, Hot to touch and and swole. It hurt to just stand on it, walkin was worse. I eventually went to the ER n was rushed to a room. I pay way more attention to the small shit I was doin to then that possibly got me there. Crazy.
My partner passed away with this in March of this year and has left me gutted and its so unreal that my man has gone forever with very few explanations regarding this awful medical condition .He had been in hospital for 13 days with a high white blood count which they could not get under control, he was sent home and two days later was feeling unwell after ringing 111 and waiting 3 hours for a ambulance unbeknown to me he had a blood clot in his leg but I never got any advice to look out for any warning signs and it travelled and he passed away within hours of being admitted to hospital leaving me in shock as we went doing errands the same day.Iwould advice anyone that has health concerns to just ring for a ambulance straight away as it definitely could save your life.
This happen to my coworker Her heart stopped after she got off a plane in japan. She miraculously woke up but has to relearn daily things like walking and speaking. There was nothing to explain it.
Hello my sister is going through this now and got admitted to icu. We are all worried we dont know where it came from. Please if anyone survived this and is doing better now please share some positive hopeful stories 🙏🏼❤️
Thanks for this brilliant video. Beautifully succinct. I've just lost my father from what seems to be pulmonary embolism so this helps me Good understand what's likely to have occurred. Keep up the great work & best of luck with your endeavours.
I just lost my father last week to the same thing we believe. His doctor said that even if he was in the ER when he felt symptoms that it would have been very hard to treat/ prevent death. It was his time
@@jeremylevine9109 Sorry to hear that. Your correct regarding a time to go. My dad was 90 & going really well however a mild brain bleed started a cascade of compounding heath issues that led to a PE.
I'm so sorry , I have 2 in my lungs the pain when breathing is awful and shortness of breath it's awful just sucks . I'm quite scared but been hospital under evaluation 🙏💓 I've learned how dangerous they are 🥺😭 I'm quite scared
Can you get it without starting from leg. Ive got these symptoms after covid in august. I also started bipap therapy for sleep apnea in September. I dont know what to do. Today i randomly got dizzy and confused and wanted to go to hospital but after 10min i felt better
@@rambobrazy8411 strange i have not heard a single people i know die of corona vaccine and they all have taken 3-4 shots each. Your logic is as valid as saying eating ice cream in summer time kills old people when in reality they get dehydrated and get heart attack
I have been experiencing “shocks” through my chest since I was 11 years old. It feels like an electrical shock that passes from the left side to my right side. I come from an extremely poor family and so I have never seen a doctor about it. One friend says “it’s a pulmonary embolism.” Another friend becomes a respiratory therapist and tells me “it’s not a pulmonary embolism, if you’ve been experiencing that since you were a child you should be dead. There’s no surviving a pulmonary embolism.” And then I get other opinions telling me “yes you can survive a pulmonary embolism” so either I’m just a fucking drama queen who has zero fucking clue how biology works, or I’m a fucking scientific experiment waiting to be sent in for a biopsy.
My upper baack hurts only when i breathe deeply, other than that there's no other symptoms im just 17 years old.I felt this after the day i got my fist vaccine shot (Pfizer) its been 5 days now and it still hurts when i breath in deeply. Is this a sign of PE? Please i need answers, im overthinking too much and im so anxious. Please help.
I was diagnosed with PE last week. No idea how I got it. Never been in surgery, haven't flown in the last few years, never had Covid, and fairly certain I'm not pregnant. I do have a lot of stress though. Not sure if that makes any difference?
@@jamieironside1256 will you tell me how tachycardia along with low blood pressure and hypotension will take place beacause both things related to bradycardia?
@@zuhramuskan5563 massive pe can cause right ventricular failure becuz right ventricle gets too stressed becuz of the pe (heart failure) and hence serious hypotension developes. Hypotension causes tachycardia to compensate low bp that's why u give fluids to treat hypovolemia to increase bp.
@@NitrogenOxygen-ey7wk It’s curable at every stage. If the clots are big they will be removed through surgery. If they are small then blood thinners can be enough to get rid of them.
