The memories. I watched this in the arena. The camera audio doesn’t give justice to the scream. That scream was ear piercing and echoed through the whole arena. Fantastic show.
The girls scream at the end gives me chills every time. And why did nobody cheer for the cymbal flip by the middle cymbal at 6:50 ? That shit was POPPIN’
@TheMoorester TheHaggette Victor is doing "Smile" this year, which is a lot different than this. Unless they're doing it next year, which would surprise me. Being from Webster's indoor percussion ensemble, I would be pretty dissapointed if they decided to copy another show, only 2 years after its showing. BTW, if you are a part of Victor, I would like to tell you that your show this year is phenomenal, and I really appreciate the work you guys put in. I hope you make it to finals this year like you did last year.
I stand corrected as I saw Victor performe today and uh yup, You guys did fucking fantastic with your variation of this show. I don't actually know whether you're in the ensemble, but if you are, I really hope you guys can beat east syracuse, like your show is so much better and way more clean. Good luck next week in finals!
Drumline.Asian l MuseScore Compositions MCM took a bigger risk and performed a cleaner show. Not that this show is bad or anything. That's just what it came down to.
Goosebumps every time. My favorite indoor show I've seen and one of my favorite shows for any marching activity that I've seen. Well done Pulse. ❤️❤️❤️
I laughed in amazement at the end! Such a well done show! The music with the movements and visuals were the best I've ever seen! Well done Pulse... Well done indeed!
In person It was amazing! My line went to compete there and we got to see them, and it is so much better in person. The recording "conveniently" didn't pick up on a blood curdling scream that I heard easily from one of the back rows. That was probably my favorite moment in the show (sans quads solo).
I love this show so much from the music to the moments to the part where the snares are featured and how perfectly it meshes with the pit, and the whole ending sequence from when the dad is possessed and then the slow creepy music to the daughter gets pulled under. Just one of the best shows by far. Always have and always will be a fan of Pule Percussion.
I have never seen such a captivating show, I have watched it dozens of times, everything is perfect from the beginning to the end, the unfolding of the script is just amazing, there is no fault of taste, and the end is just amazing, we still want others as well written!
I made it a priority to see this show all 3 times in Dayton. At prelims, they were one of the only groups to get a standing ovation from the crowd. It was nuts.
there has never been a wgi show like this ever IMO. These set up a play set it feels like and told an amazing story through music and dance. this is easily one of my top 5 shows ever
I forgot just how absolutely amazing this show was. Like, holy shit, I got chills all over again. This is so well written and so thematic, I'm so glad they medaled
This is my all time favorite show. I march snare but for some reason everytime I watch this that cymbal solo catches my attention and, just holy crap. I love that cymbal solo
Is no one talking about how perfect the cymbal feature is??? I played cymbals for a year in my winter percussion for my senior year of high school and it ain’t easy to hold those things without shaking sometimes
This was a great show! I have been around WGI for a long time and this was one of the most entertaining. I didn't see any live shows this year, but I am surprised the Mystique pull out the win against this show. I feel like the book is much more difficult for this show and whole performance is fun and energetic. But I can't say for sure since I never saw them live!
Chase Daily from the stands, the music for pulse was better than MCM, but MCM definitely had them in GE and visual. MCM did some things that had never even been attempted on the floor and they pulled it off very well. Not to mention that the judges usually don’t give points for a harder book, it’s mostly about execution. This was my favorite show of the season, but I can’t say that MCM’s accomplishment wasn’t well deserved, because it was.
MaxKreuzerDrums same, might've been dirty is some parts but overall the performance and entertainment factor alone should've won. Definitely a fan favorite though.
Im very shocked that This didn’t get First it Sounds amazing and this was the first introduction to WGI to me and made me want to join Indoor Percussion.
So my thing with this entire show, they go after the mom in the daughter because they show almost immediate fear. The thing with the dad character, he is the leader of the home so he’s expected to be strong, hence why he thinks the spirit thing is non sense. The spirits make quick work of making the daughter into a believer and eventually get the mom to the point of believing as well. (Hence the phone call). Eventually they realize that nothing they’re doing to the dad is working because he shows no fear or anger (which is what the paranormal feed off of in real life). This causes the spirits to get pissed off to the point of possessing the dude. And after all that, making the mom and father believe, the tarp signals that the family has becoming engulfed in fear… except for the daughter. The spirits go after her one more time because she escaped to maybe start a new life because she grew up. Her past caught up with her and she is forever engulfed in her belief, fear, and anger. (Edit: this is my interpretation, feel free to have your own interpretation)
