I have never featured an automobile built in Brazil. That just changed. Top comes down...11:14 Start drive...............12:47 See coyote.............15:27
I'm from Brazil and I've always liked your RU-vid channel, always with good articles about classic cars, and seeing a car from my country on your channel was really good. Congratulations on the work God bless.
Puma also made a Front-engine, rear-wheel-drive with a 6 inline 4.1liter GM base GT call GTB. In the end they made some trucks (not pick-up). The production in fact end in early 90’s The new pumas are just a new corp. Edit: I think that the made just the cab of the trucks, but have ther logo
In the 60's 70's and 80's Brazil was famous for its sports cars...just google MIURA SAGA car, it was the corvette of Brazil and the car talks !! Yes, that car talks..lol....PUMA, SANTA MATILDE, Brasinca 4.200 GT , BIANCO S 1600 , FARUS ML 929 , L’Automobile Ventura , ADAMO CRX , Hofstetter Car , AURORA-122 C . Google the names above and you will be surprised.
There is a Puma vert in the NW. It is on Samba. THere are actually two of them. I have worked on VWs and P-cars for 50 yrs and am tempted but as Chuck states there are no clubs that I could find, so I guess I will stick with my Sunbeam Alpine V6/ 5spd. SUper quick which is not what you can say about about 1600 VW powerplant. I had an Intermechanica Speedster and even with a 2180 it suffered from not being able to get out of its own way. Best solution is to stick in a Subie motor seen here on RU-vid.

Well it isnt a VW, so they could not do that. Puma did try to export to North America, but it would have been to expensive, so they sold it as a sort of kit car (90% completely build, just add own suspension and engine.)
11:40 what happened to the top frame? the original frame goes all the way to the windshield, like this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gr2GzMktGBM.html&ab_channel=zoommotor
Sir the black color inside the engine compartment and in the front IS NOT ORIGINAL. I live in Arizona and I have a 1980 PUMA CONVERTIBLE GTS and can help you with original parts. Puma is a car that owners don't like if is not original. I put US$ 19 Thousand dollars to make mine 100% original. Mine was done by a Brazilian mechanic in Brazil and is coming to the US on a container by sea.
