Now we a are talking about some of the best 22s ever made . I like the Remington 121 pump BUT it does not have the groove on top of the reciever for tip off scope mounts. Like it best for iron sight use. The Winchester 61 is my favorite 22 for scope use pluse it is made in22 magnum rimfire. The Wincher 62 top loading pump is 2nd favorite to Remington 121 for iron sight use. Add the Marlin 39a lever action and Winchester 52 bolt action sporter to the bunch, you would have the finest 22 rimfire collection in the world.
I don’t think I’ve ever owned a 61? A magnum version would be neat to have. You could throw the 9422 into the mix as well. It had a mag version as well. I fell on hard times and let a beautiful marlin 39m get away. The Mountie. Still kick myself for that one.
@@FirearmsandFellowship The 61 is like the hammerless version of the 62. Works like all the other old Winchester pump rifles and shotguns. Hold the trigger back , pump the action forward and sear will automatically trip the hammer when bolt closes . Almost as fast as an automatic rifle. I'm blessed because my dad am uncle were firearms collectors. I had the task to sight in and clean their firearms because of my better than 20/20 vision and firearms knowledge. They would purchase firearms at gun shows and estate sales on my suggestions. I worked with Browning lever actions rimfires but never delt with the 9422 or 39a. Had friends and and relatives that owned them though. 22 magnum Rimfire is my favorite cartridge. I like the H&R 700 22 mag but the 61 is my favorite by far in 22 mag.
Both are nice but the Winchester is smoother. Eley might cost a little more but its well worth it. The Force & Contact Eley usually do well. Thanks. 👍🙏
