The fact that you DON'T script anything and your enthusiasm in the what's in the box videos is one of the main reasons i really like what you do. You're not a fake, and people appreciate that. Keep up the good work! You're a champ :)
Since you read every comment... :) I want to say that I have never commented or really followed people on RU-vid until I started watching your channel. As a child of the 80's now with kids of my own, it's fun to watch you live that dream I think all of us have had. I do wish you would post more, but at least it makes me look forward to Tuesdays and Friday's that much more! Also, I love the Vlog files, but Insert Coin is by far my favorite and would absolutely love to see you do much more insert coin videos. Watching the restoration process is amazing! Finally, once the construction is complete and everything is "show worthy" I seriously think you should consider doing a massive house tour since every room in your place has something awesome in it. Cheers from Houston, Texas and keep up the good work!!!
My 10 year old and I sit down and watch your videos as soon as they post on our alerts, it's become a Tuesday/Friday morning ritual before school. Every episode we learn something new together. Keep up the great work!
Haha you ended up saying 40th anniversary instead of 20th even after you pointed out you almost made the mistake. I laughed haha Keep up the great work dude, love your content as always.
You know, you've tried many formats with this channel, but i always love when it just gets back to basics with your vlogs. They've (and you've) gotten so much better over the years too. I would expect huge growth for your channel if you just keep up this format with regular uploads. You're just one of those naturally interesting youtubers who doesn't need to try too hard to be watchable. I predict a silver play button very soon.... and you know i was right about the fridge ;)
His enthusiasm has a positive vibe of insanity, i can't helpt it, but i must always smile when he explains his further arrangements! Great guy and great content!
Watching your videos is like going back to my childhood, you stroll past games that i played an just seeing the box artwork brings it all back. Thanks for all your hard work an passion.
Great channel, dude! I've been watching your vids since I saw your WR video and have been waiting excitedly and with big enthusiasm for every upcoming video every Tuesday and Friday! You have a superb games & consoles collection, all of them beautifully displayed, keep up the good work, for me you're OUTSTANDING and AWESOME!!! :3
Joel, you're a professional games collector and perhaps games historian. You're always a superb presenter and a pleasure to watch. Don't let those apes at MS get you down. Everyone knows that's unfair including them. Glad you have your dinning room back!
American viewer here. I usually catch these uploads when I wake up in the morning, they're such a great way to start the day. Can't wait though. Gonna have to wait it now and in the morning. Always love the content Joel.
Awesome Bond soundtrack, my all time favourite Bond soundtrack is For Your Eyes Only had that on vinyl back in the day, great looking back on these video and see how your games rooms have evolved
"We are coming to the end guys, I reckon by the end of next week we will be at the end....of this room" That Arcade Room is going to be insane can't wait for that series to start.
I don’t know how I’ve never seen your channel before. Stumbled upon it two days ago. Now I’ve watched every video (besides the vlogs... still working on those) you have on your channel. Love it man. You’ve done some amazing work. Your collection has no rivals my friend 👏🏻. I’ve been playing/collecting for around 25 years (since I was 5) but due to a house fire and having 3 girls I’ve had to part ways with my whole collection more then once. I wish you luck on your pursuit of collecting ever game!!!
Absolutely loving the content right now Joel, how you only have 34k subs i'll never know?!! Looking forward to whats in store in the future, keep up the good work mate, your videos are always enjoyed and looked forward to!! And Amiga, thats awesome!! My favourite computer by far, really excited to see what you collect for that system!!
You were genuinely excited in this video, can feel the enthusiasm through the roof! It was pretty lame of Microsoft to put strike just due to name, but like they say there is good in everything so can't wait to see the director's cut version of the videos. The room is looking amazing & can't wait till the decoration part of it starts. Also waiting for the playroom tour as well. Keep it up, Last Gamer rules!
for me as a gamer and collector one of the best channels on youtube. watched most of the videos in the last week, cant wait till the next vlog, whats in the box or whatever gets released. always learning something new and cool about my favorite hobby! so thanks for bringing us this amazing content. have you ever thought about doing somehting like google street view for your gaming room? this would blow my mind; do a tour by myself in the biggest game room on earth and probably spending hours of finding stuff i dont know it even exists. greetings from germany, Oliver
Hey Joel, long time viewer and first time commenter - I think lol. But honestly mate, I can't find anything I'd ask of you from the content your putting out. The breadth and wealth of your collection makes watching this channel my kind of nervana. I collect a smidge myself and love the retrospective and nostalgic buttons it presses and I also like to know that if I want to play something I desire, I want to have it there, ready for play. After all that...thanks for everything mate, your a legend to me for sure.
Would love to see a video with "superlatives"; so for example, the system with the largest library, or your oldest system, or the most expensive item in your collection, etc.
Now that I'm back from work, have my cold drink with me & have watched the video over 4 times so I'm feeling excited as well. The collector's corner segment you mentioned sounds great, and just the intro alone gives me a kind of British vibe to it, maybe you have watched too much of James Bond, lol. You mentioned your original Amiga & Commodore boxes you got as a kid, how about a story mode on it? I think it would make for exciting video, you telling us when you go them, what were the first games you played on it, what were your reactions etc. Also the director's cut for videos you said sounds really cool, maybe you can do that for other videos as well. Can't wait for the next one.
Hi Joel, hope you finish the room soon. Love your channel, but in this video I just realized how much time I have spent listening if collection x goes in shelf y or z. Bring back the fun stuff!
Great video Joel! Your stereo system looks nice man! I would frame the Nintendo controller prints in a double sided frame to let you see one on either side, letting them hang from the ceiling since your walls are full. Just what I might try.
Great video Joel...could you talk more about how you got started with your collection & what you do for a living? Your a fascinating person, keep up the great work!
Joel, I mean this in the nicest and most enthusiastic way possible.... Never be done with that room!! I think everyone should get used to the fact that your collection is so huge, that you always will have new ideas in which how to show off that glorious maze of games. So take that weight off your shoulders thinking that you need to get it done by "X" date. Just have fun with it 'til your last breath and keep mod'ing that room! Hehe, get it "Moding"! Keep Mod'ing, cause that's what will allow you to keep it fresh and new. And that last song you have to finish off this vlog was just awesome! Never stop... cheers mate!
By the way Joel... I hope one day you can do a vlog on the Stand-up Cabinet Lazer Disk games, I don't know if you were into those... Dragons Lair, Space Ace, Cliff Hanger aka Lupin the III Castle of Cagliostro, one of the best Lazer disk games ever!
Yeah man,. Im exactly the same. Imagine how much more time per day we'd get :O Maybe I'd have time to play all them games i've never get around to playing :(
Great video as always. I'm only a small video game collecter with about 300 games across 10 consoles. It's such a great hobby. Really look forward to future content.
This guy makes amazing videos i am surprised that he isn't big at all on youtube, he should do a collabe with other famous youtubers. I'm pretty sure they'll be more then happy to do one with this guy.
Hi Joel sorry to hear that Microsoft pull a fast one on your 2 videos, luckily I saw all your videos :). Hey how about "Retro tales" , "Story times" Or "Flash back stories" instead of story mode, great channel man! Greetings from New York!
Holy Jeez, people are asking why you don't release more videos? House work takes a looooot of time. I honestly don't know how you're able to balance it all Joel. Work, house projects, hobbies.... Keep up the great work Joel!
I cannot wait to see a before & after with your Amiga collection when you get that shipment from that fellow collector you made a deal with a while back. Also I'm surprised you don't keep some spare consoles in other rooms just for convenience.
Joel you become the only reason for me to visit RU-vid, is always great to see your videos. The room is looking fantastic so keep going, I didnt forget the time you told us about the full review of Ghosts 'n Goblins maybe when you do it you can show us something of that board game, if you want. About Microsoft... well you know how they are so dont give them the privilege to make you angry. Have a nice day and see you next time
Awesome!!!!!!!! the only collector on the internet who does not LIE about "game chasing" finds. Sealed copy of Earthbound found in a Church yard sale under a box of crayons in a bag of old tee spoon holders.....Just as they were about to leave
Was that an Amstrad FD-1 drive I saw fleetingly there? Boy does that bring back memories! I still have mine from my childhood along with the 64K RAM expansion, Romantic Robot Multiface II, ROMbox and 40025 internal chip to turn my 464 into a fully fledged 6128 :)
Quality vid again. Love the Metal Gear collection. I myself have that same PS4 console as well as the PS3 MGS IV one. I'd love to see a video on Metal Gear, dedicated to it haha. Keep up the good work!
As you said people want more videos (myself included) how about making it 3 days a week. Monday, Wednesday and friday. Not to much extra but still got time for the quality. Maybe 2 vlog files (monday and friday) and 1 other video (eye on retro, whats in the box, etc) (wednesday) so that way weekends are still free just my suggestion :) love your videos
Looking forward to your amiga collection, I wish I had the room to collect more Amiga stuff. I think it be cool is once you got the full collection of a system or as near as you likely to get, you spend just say a hour long vlog type thing your doing here about the memories of that system your fav games and rare bits you own for system, I think that be cool. Keep up the good work.
