5:17 This is a perfect shot of the sun low on the horizon, the calm river, and the hardworking man. A perfect example of this amazing country. I made a lot of stops along the Ohio River during my vacation trip for the scenic views and the history of Abraham Lincoln before reaching Derby. The boat dock looked amazing and there were lots of people chilling in their chairs and fishing. A huge improvement for community! The atmosphere was peaceful and friendly. If I could afford it, I'd move to the area.
Those drone shots with the rising Sun across the River while the guys poured....... Reminds me of those 80s Army commercials..."We get more done before 9am than most people do all day"
Great video Mike. Great that you and all the volunteers worked together for a successful project that the visitors and local people of Derby will be proud of. Have a great day.
Mike, those are called cleats you tie a boat off to a dock. They should be painted yellow so anyone walking on the dock will notice then and not trip over them into the water. Especially ending up between the dock and a boat. You can also put a waterproof solar light under them. I can't even begin to count how many people I've seen or heard of who've had that happen to them. Landlubbers of course. The dock has turned out beautiful. Can't wait to see it all labdscaped and finished.
Kind of amazing how much drones have changed the perspective of the camera's eye. We get to see things never experienced before. High definition video on top of it. Nice video footage.
Great job Mike, love how you step right in to help @1:28.😊 You got me at edge of my seat with that one boulder. The dock turned out great, awesome drone shots and Aaron cinematography was spot on. As they say in the fishing world, great " catch and release "
Mike warn us next time MBHTS wears shorts to work im sure I speak for several this morning The reflection from the river and his legs i had to get up put sunglasses on while drinking coffee😅😅😅😅 great addition to the town and all the volunteers for doing that for the town i can only imagine the cost you have needs to be a sign installed thanking All the volunteers that made this happen
Thanks for this, Mike. You took me back 60+ years to when my daddy drove a cement mixer. He was not a Union finisher, but he could finish concrete with the best of them and would in volunteer situations just like this. He liked being a truck driver. And just as you do with Gunnar, I loved going out with my dad on jobs. You warmed this old lady's heart a lot with this and brought my daddy back for a bit.❤❤
Is the people behind the scenes to apply for the grant others who learned up the work that really really did the major lifting. We just got to see the results. Then I saw Mr. Bill at the end! That explains it. Your stepdad real good dude
Thanks for sharing Mike, good job guys! Kirk from Louisiana, y’all have a safe weekend mike and Aaron! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Mike, the boom operator makes up for three men with a come-a-long and the man on the pipe makes up for at least two more men with a come-a-long. This is a really good tutorial video of how to pour & finish concrete. I guess Aaron was at the shop .... welding?
I thought for sure I was going to see the 210 down there fishing the mini out of the river!! Oh well, maybe next time, it would of made for a good video and you could of gotten a free mini wash out of it!!!😮😊 hey, dock looks great, you all have done an amazing looking job with it so far sir, thanks for the update.
I have killed the entire afternoon watching this project from start to finish. If was old DP, I'd think about crowd sourcing some ambitious kid to map out a bunch more play lists. It'd make it so much easier for new comers to binge - lol.
Hey Mike & Aaron !! Yepper !! Another ""Knockout" Job well done for Everyone to enjoy !!!🙂🙃😉😛 Looks like you lost 3 teeth on the ""CAT "" ??? Till the next project !!! Have a good week !!! 🤔🙄🤠😎😮 👍👍👍👍👍
I can't believe you didn't lay plywood down so you didn't mark up the concrete with the tracks from your machine, all that money spent and you toast it in ONE HOUR!😲👈🎥 Come on mr. Professional👍
Locals and tourists should be happy with the results.looks like it worked out the way y’all wanted it.once it’s done all the way. Great video as always, concrete guys did a great job.keep on doing your thing.kudos 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Always enjoyable to watch a concrete job done by skilled workers. Fun watching the interaction between you and Arron cleaning up the rock along the wall. The tie off cleats look nice, hopefully the epoxy used lasts better than the one a contractor used putting in the railing on my moms house, it just washed away and slowly disappeared over a few years. Hopefully know one puts the cleats to the test for pullout. At least they are fairly small, bad things happen when the cleats pull out under tension. Know of one situation where a large cleat pulled out and went thru the wall of the wheel house and crushed a guy. Luckily he lived but was in critical care for quite some time. Wishing you and your family the best.
I was SURPRISED to see you running that excavator on that NEW concrete walkway. That just shows how good of a job everyone did on that project! Way to go!!!
When you consider what was there before, to what's there now, it's worlds apart. You and the rest of the community have gone above and beyond, you all should be really proud of what's been achieved. 🇬🇧 👍
Mike, maybe you should be using the grading bucket because it’s wider! I don’t know, just an amateur opinion! lol 😂 😂😂😂I actually thought it was deeper there, it seems pretty shallow unless the tide is low!
That vibrating secreter is way handy and beats the heck out of doing it by hand ,it's amazing How many how many Job foreman you have when poring concrete ,The job is looking good .
