I remember getting a pumpkin kitty build-a-bear for my tenth birthday. it had the "birthday bear" song in it and everything...the day the battery for the sound started dying was the day I started believing in demons.
I was pretty shy and awkward as a kid, when I got my first build a bear they asked me to make a wish, kiss the heart and put it in. I was nervous and didn't wanna do it so the lady stuffing my plush did it for me. I still have her 17 years later, her voucbox still works and now my childhood dogs ashes are around her neck in a necklace.❤
B-A-B does restuffing too! I gutted my almost 18 year old bear around last year to give him a deep clean and to save the speaker and went and got him restuffed so he wasnt flat as a pancake anymore, hes good as new!! (disregarding the old matted fur)
STOP YOU'RE LYING !!! i have a 16 year old bunny, and she is in DESPERATE NEED bc i sleep w her every night still. i have never restuffed her, but i think it might be time 🥹
Restuff herrrr I restuffed my old bear thats like almost 12 years old, the stuffing was the same color as her fur 🥲 Besides the matted af fur shes good as new
My favorite bear’s voice box died and I was afraid the batteries would corrode in there so I took her in and had the BAB employee do surgery on her to remove it lol. It’s was quick, easy, and free. It’s just sad they don’t sell the same sound anymore
I'm turning 16 in December, and I still can't stop collecting more stuffed animals to bring home with and sleep with at night ❤ my parents keep telling me I'm an adult soon lol, but I don't care, seeing something so cute and it reminds you of when you were younger is always gonna be my favorite ❤ beautiful video and such a cute kitty!!
Hello to all the 16yos in the thread o/" I'm 19, the youngest in the family, and everyone has an assortment of plushies we still keep around. My sister has a lil plush lion that's older than me and he has a place of honor on the bookshelf (he's a little too old to cuddle to bed now). I got a giant ladybug plush for my 15th birthday and a squid plush on my 17th. Never let anyone tell you you're too old to have teddies. They were there for you when no one else was and they're going to outlast anyone you don't deserve too.
AINSLEY!!!! i was actually so happy to see that, i love big brother :) edit: IVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY BB FANS!!!! HI EVERYONE!!! 😭😭 edit 2: aren’t we all happy angela’s gone edit 3: HOW DO WE FEEL ABOUT CHELSEAS WIN??? 🔥🔥 personally i wanted makensie to win but im super happy for chelsea >:)
I remember getting a build a bear and I just thought “this thing will be very important to me” to this day I still have her and she was a core memory to my life
I haven't been around one of these stores in years, and honestly I've forgotten all about them. I used to get a plush for my birthday every year. This brought back so many memories I'm actually crying a bit
I watched my niece make a bear (almost) exactly like one I had when I was a kid. She didn't even know he existed until we got home and I told her. A timeless teddy, soft and squishy, dressed in a gray suit with a blue bowtie. I helped pick the name. Theodore. My mom made the first Theodore for me when I was a baby, my grandma taught me how to use a sewing machine to make the clothes for him. Watching this... It brought a sense of... Something back to me. It can't be described.
oh wow....thank you so much for sharing this story, honestly. it was such a nice read. i wonder if deja Vu would be a way to describe it? it sounds like it was just destined. I bet when she's older, she'll take her little girl or little niece and the same thing will happen. maybe Theodore is someone who watches over your family, you never know! no one knows everything in the world. but this was so sweet. I bet your Theo would've loved playdates with hers
Those pumpkin cats are worth hundreds.. you very lucky you have it in that good condition! My sister has one of these but its missing everything apart from thr logo on its foot. Shes had it for 18 years
I'm almost 19 years old and I still go to build a bear. I don't always get a new bear but anytime I do it's such a healing experience for me. I love stuffed animals and I don't think I'll ever stop loving them
Always wanted to go to build a bear. But all i could ever do was look around and dream of having one of my own. But i am grateful to those who have one ❤
I got my oldest and only surviving bear restuffed recently, kept a little of her original stuffing to put in too and her original heart. I love that they let you do this.
BAB has a special place in my heart, i went there for my 9th birthday, we were super broke at the time and i always thought bab was like this super fancy expensive store. I got a black puppy and named her twilight, she isnt fancy, but i still have her 💗
Those are so expensive to order!! I wish i even had a build a bear near me your really lucky. Im really happy watching these keep doing what you're doing.
My fiancé and I are now both almost 40 together but I’m a longtime My Little Pony collector and they got in during G4/Friendship is Magic (how we met in 2011). As grown adults we collected every Build a Bear and even had to replace some earlier ones at one point after a tragedy. All the employees treated us amazingly and always offered to do the heart ceremony with us.
This gave me a flash back to when I got my most recent build a bear, a frog named Al, I got them because my life has been extremely depressing lately and they're my best friend now, they smell like strawberries
I HAVE THIS CAT! I made it when I was a little girl at a friend's birthday party at Build a Bear. I must've been at least 6 years old then. I'm 23 now and still have it
I threw my first my little pony build a bear and my pink teddy bear one from childhood away I kinda regret it though I was really excited when I first got them😭
Never too old for the heart!!! I got the galaxy spring frog for my 27th birthday and hes got a little plaid heart and my husband put the frog croak in his arm ❤ you're pumpkin kitty is so cute!!!
