I really love the work that you do. I can't afford the tan paper you use as I have more fails than successes so when I try something, mine doesn't even come close. And your eye for colors is amazing. I wish i culd tell the pressure you use on your pencils because it barely looks as though the tip is on the paper and yet the darkness in tone from just 1 layer.

It's really great how you bring the pictures to 'life'. I think it's a pity that you don't paint on white paper or directly in coloring books.

Standard coloring book paper does not stand up to mixed media or multiple layers as well as the higher quality papers Chris uses. It is much easier to get wax bloom on the standard paper in the books. Although, you can still achieve good results, higher quality paper is so much better to work with. I also copy to a higher quality paper. It allows me to do so much more. I rarely color in my books.

I love the colors, the details, and the compositio. While I am focused on florals at present, using acrylics, I do want to paint other subjects, and media.. Thank you for sharing your technique, and the inspiration.. I've subscribed & liked.. looking forward to Part 2..
