I just purchased a 5 lb. bag of unsalted peanuts. Time for me to make some homemade peanut butter and make some Yummy treats for my yorkies! I love the name Chickpea to cute :) Thanks for sharing your recipe
My dogs LOVE❤ these treats! I have made them three times and always in double batches. I bake half a batch at a time and freeze the rest. Thank you for this recipe!
Make your own peanut butter from plain ground peanuts powder. Perfect, healthy peanut butter for puppy! Thank you for the recipe. I need to bake shorter time for a softer treat. My doggie, Gary is an old doggie, and not many teeth.
I recently started making my own dog treats because I noticed that the ones in the stores are just so absurdly expensive and their ingredients are usually not the best this is a pretty great recipe for a beginner like me and such a cute dog thank you!!
Thank u so much for great recipe. I'm currently baking them as I write this. & I love that there's only a few good & tasty ingredients. I hate adding stuff that doesn't need to go to my pup.
Awwww, Chickpea is so sweet and she loves you so much! Thanks for the recipe, Sam. My Meggie (Brittany Spaniel) absolutely loves them! She even enjoyed a couple pieces of the dough! I tripled the recipe, cut them with a pizza cutter into 1" triangles X 1/4" thickness and I got 195 pieces. I put about a third in Meggie's treat jar and froze the rest. I feel really good giving her these, knowing exactly what's in them. Thanks again! Love your positivity and humor!
Your videos are soo good.... I've already tried two recipes... excited do this for my little boba. Thank you!!!! I've been craving tiramasu years when I saw your recipe and now this.
Awww!! Chickpea's a sweetie!!! Love this, thank you for the recipe! With all the recalls on dog food and treats it's nice to have a recipe I can make at home and feel safe about it. I wish my dog ate as slow as yours; I don't think Meggie even tastes her treats! =D
I invite you to do some research on the topic! There are many resources on the subject online :) V-dog is a good example of a company to check out and they have testimonials listed on their website about dogs thriving on a plant-based diet too!
@@avraepstein The FDA recently put out a report saying that they are seeing more cardiomyopathy in dogs that don't usually get that disease. It's usually seen in big dogs like great danes, but now is seen in spaniels and other medium and small breeds. They think it is because of the (especially) grain free dog foods that don't contain enough protein, and specifically TAURINE which is found mainly in dark meat poultry and other animal sources. The MEAT protein in these dog foods is being replaced by LENTILS, and it is NOT the right protein for dogs. The dog food companies do it because it is cheaper for them and consumer demand for "grain free" everything, which is also not good for dogs for the most part. Do you know of any vegan sources for taurine??? It is used by dogs in their eyes and hearts, which is the reason for the increase in cardiomyopathies. It is also used by kittens/cats, who MUST have it in their diet or they will go blind. I wanted to get this information out there, and also ask if any one knows a vegan source of taurine.
These look great. Can you tell me the best way to store them please? I'd love to make some for my dog and my daughters dog, but would have to post them to her. Do they need to be refrigerated or do they last for a while in an air tight container? TIA
Oh these look so good. I'm dog sitting for a friend next month, and might make these for little Ariel. Can't find pumpkin anywhere at this time of year though, so maybe sweet potato will work.
On one hand: Awe thats a cute dog and a fantastic treat, and a great personality. On the other: Sit (Lays Down) CLose enough My inner Dog trainer: Cringe Not criticizing everyone has a different level of requirement for their dogs, mine are stubborn, and hunters so I have to train constantly and work with their commands so close enough is never close enough for me lol. That looks like one happy pupper.
You have to be careful with some natural peanut butters because they have Xylitol in it in silent all is very toxic to dogs also wondered if you could substitute sweet potato for the pumpkin in these
Thanks TLC. I cook for my dogs every day and have been meaning to bake some homemade snacks for them rather than continue to buy the processed stuff. Fast and easy though I had to X3 the ingredients as my three dogs consume quite a bit. Side note- I'm a vegetarian for the planet and for myself and try my best to grow and make as much as possible as well as buy locally to reduce my footprint on the planet. Keep up the great vids and thanks for taking he time to share
Ah 👁 🖤 my pet Zero Miyu even though they can't eat these treats. Your dog is so cute. Oat is a calming nervine. I 💕vegan but also 💚 Zero Miyu I'm thinking about making a cooking video with cut scenes where my ferret like holds a spatula or something like that or pretends to do something in the kitchen. Maybe wear a chef hat? They eat lots of animals and animal products so I feel like least they could do is help their wanna be vegan mom in the kitchen.
