I only have a 3.75 hook as I’m just starting out. How would I have to modify the pattern?

Hi there! It is possible to create this project with the 3.75 hook size, however your stitches will be slightly smaller. You can follow the same pattern, and continue increasing the rounds as I did in the tutorial until you reach your desired size for each layer. After creating both layers, continue following along with the tutorial to complete your project. Hope this helps! Happy Crocheting 😊🧶

Is that type of yarn ok for a hot pad or should I find a 100% cotton yarn? I loveeeeee ILTY from HL but I worry it will melt. What are your thoughts?

I have used ILTY from HL on other hot pads and it has been ok. I’ve never used anything blazing hot on it though. But, if your first mind is to use 100% cotton, then I would do so. I was always taught, go with your first mind. 😉😊
