This fight is so much better with Von Kaisers theme music playing. Still, I love it when VK launches his "Anzio Annie" at you, it sounds just like an artillery cannon firing and hits just as hard.
AAAAAAHTACKAAAA! The most amazing way to shout "Attack" ever. No wonder he's one of my favorite boxers. I don't know why, but he was even my favorite character in the original Punch-Out, next to Great Tiger, anyways. I like the personality they gave him in this game anyways... Given the fact that there isn't too much personality you can put in Punch Out of all things.
Part of what makes this game so fun to watch (and to play) is the way Mac's and his opponent's animations are (generally) synced up. Mac starts throwing a punch and the opponent anticipates it with wide eyes, cries for help ("Hilfe!"), etc. It's very amusing. They look like real characters instead of just animated ragdolls.
that ending was great. The fact he saw it coming, tried to "hide" under his gloves, it made it all the funnier once he finally saw stars XD He also looked more like a boxer this time
It's hilarious how, up until he goes "HILFE!!!' at the end, he seems like his mentality has completely changed... then he yells THAT and he seems as helpless as he did against those Children he fought against in his "First Version"... ... At least he stopped asking for his Mommy, though! Heh...
That's what German military boots are called inofficially I think. I'm German, but I never was in the army, so I wouldn't know if it's actually official. The literal translation would be "battle boots"
Fisticuffs! Von Kaiser truly fights like a man... With arms that make shotgun sounds. Ah well, he IS the German Steel Machine. Steel in zee heart! Steel in zee arms! Steel in zee head! Okay, maybe I've watched that video a bit too much, lol.
Man, the title defense mode has me on my toes. Even Glass Joe was somewhat of a challenge. I even got brought down by Kaiser. I need to practice. There are some new moves they've been using I'm not familiar with...
I agree with N00bkirb2000. It gets annoying that people seem to think only of THOSE twenty years, THAT army and THAT dictator when someone mentions Germany.
@cy012201 He lost a match to kids in his boxing class way back when, before Punch-Out!!, & that was a traumatic memory for him, but mac winning the championship seemed to snap him out of that trauma, but when you have a bad experience, & you still do something from a certain time, it's no longer an urge, it's a bodily function. You understandin' this?
If anyone wants to know what he's saying: 0:37 Kampfstiefel - Combat Boots 0:48 So nicht - Not like that 0:53 Kuckuk - Cuckoo/Peek-a-boo 1:02 Haha Reingefallen - Haha fooled you 1:42 Attacke - Attack 1:52 Ich glaube ich hab' 'ne Schraube los - I think I've got a scew loose 2:32 Das ist Boxen Little Mac und kein Tantenkaffee - This is boxing little Mac, and not a tea party 4:37 Hilfe - Help
Yeah. I've deduced from seeing Aran Ryan fight that apparently, as long as the body part being used is either from the arm as a whole or a boxing glove. It's A-Okay.
Man, it's a toss-up between this guy and Bear Hugger for my favorite Punch-Out boxer. Bear Hugger is just amusing all around and has catchy music, but Von Kaiser's fighting is easily the most amusing in the game (cuckoo clock style FTW), and he still gives a decent challenge.
Man this game was soo fun when i first got it. The title defenses were a pain to beat though. My cousin surprisingly had trouble with the glass joe rematch lmao
@melosebrainuhoh German: "Das ist Boxen, Little Mac, und kein Tantenkaffee!" [Tantenkaffee sounds really weird, we would probably say Kaffeeklatsch or Teekränzchen] Literally: "That's boxing, Little Mac, not an aunt's coffee circle!" A little bit more polished:"This is boxing, Little Mac, not a tea party for old ladies."
Anyone ever notice that going back and looking at him after you've beaten him in Defense mode, he's completely broken? Beat all the hell up, and completely twitchy. I almost felt sorry for him D:
i think little macs animation could have been a little more lively, but this game looks freaking pretty! could nintendo be pulling it all back together?
That's a great message to athletes. Don't train yourself, just read your local newspaper and then proceed to buzz cut your hair, it'll make you 10x stronger.
@alanvamp Actually, Little Mac alredy appeared in Smash Bros Brawl (as a striker). But I get your point man. Actually, I got kinda pissed that they didn´t made Little Mac a playable character since the beginning. I totally agree xD
