Pune Metro Rail Progress- VLog Part 19- PCMC Swargate Line Update 

Hi Yogi, I recently visited the Metro Information Center at Sambhaji Park and must say the people there are very social and they love to share information regarding the ongoing project. I spoke with them quite a lot and we also spoke about you and how your good work is helping our citizens of Pune to gasp more information about the Metro as you are the only one here who shares constant vlogs about the project. Great and thank you. I’m outside India and haven’t visited Pune for last 4-5 years. Looks things are changed lot. One suggestion while showing progress if you also show metro map indicating you are planning from this point to that point that will be great.. waiting for next vlog...!

HI, yogi, I think for underground work you should first visit Mumbai metro3 and than Pune to see if there is any difference of work. anyways nice video.

Sir, definitely make a video for the Vanaz-Ramwadi corridor!..At present there are a lot of developments taking place in the stretch between Vanaz & Paud Phata..the construction of Vanaz and Ideal Colony Metro Stations has started. Furthermore works on the extension from Vanaz to Chandini Chowk is in full swing and already a few pillars have been erected!..the construction of the Double Decker Flyover at Nal Stop is slated to start very soon this month although there have been a few reports of activists raising their concern or rather their opposition towards the construction which has been the case with Nagar Road stretch too. Kindly take note of these things to make a nice video of the Vanaz corridor. 😊

We really enjoy your Vlog and appreciate your updates. When we see the designs of Metro stations in other Indian cities, their designs are quite mundane and only functional. We hope that Pune Metro designs bring brightness and give pleasure to eye also. Do you have any information on this aspect?

Underground Section: While travelling on the Swargate Jedhe Chowk flyover, one can see a huge pit being dug up in preparation of lowering of TBM's there. News reports have it that this preparatory work is almost over. At the Range Hills end, construction of this pit has just begun. One can see the area cordoned off from a train if you travel between Shivaji Nagar and Khadki station and look carefully towards West after Shivaji Nagar. Yes, there are issues on Bajirao Road. To sort them out, one meeting has taken place and more planned. Maha Metro is finalising a plan to relocate affected property holders nearby and door to door survey is progressing. Aga Khan stretch: News reports have it that technically Metro work cannot be undertaken here and the metro alignment needs to be at least 100 meters away from the national memorial. It appears that this was the case in Delhi too where there are many such memorials, and Delhi Metro was able to quickly finalise a new alignment to work around this issue. I guess the same would happen in Pune. Lets await more news on this. Paud Phata flyover: Work is all ready to start but the PMC is wanting the CM to come and inaugurate the work and he is yet unable to commit a date. I think we should not wait longer than October for CM's date.

In other countries especially in European countries where many of historical places are there. However, we will see many routes are very close to these places. Which doesn't harm to these places. Agakhan palace is not that much old. Besides this, metro can very well run on nagar road. Other precautions can be provided to this AGK palace.

It would be great if you can ask metro officials about the pillers in riverbed. As per a video posted on Pune Metro youtube channel, there is a underground route in Mula-Mutha riverbed. Then what is the purpose of constructing pillers in the riverbed? Or those pillers are for any other line?
