My bad on the 'prow', found out shortly after that belongs to another ship. The Punic warship is suspected to have been sunk in the last battle of the first war, when the Roman navy tried to cut the supply line to Lilybaeum from Carthage and force the city to surrender after 9 long years of siege. Based on plates, paint, and other things (inscriptions for example) the best guess is that the ship was almost new when sunk at the battle of Aegates in 241 BC. The city never fell, it was handed over by treaty once the war concluded.
