Hola Alice and Greg! I've missed you! Thanks so much for the update and the new vid. So happy to see you back on here. Hope you get to make more videos in the future. (Your cdmx vids are what inspired me to go to cdmx last year for my Birthday, thank you!) The shows and the museum look awesome! Alice, I really wanted to go to your show in Long Beach but my body just wouldn't let me. Hopefully next time! Thanks again for everything and take care!
Welcome back to the U.S.! I saw your PRB club show and was very upset on your behalf about how and why they cut you short. But you are so kind and gracious about it, which I guess shouldn't surprise me! I'm glad I finally got to see you perform and hope to watch you live again soon!
Thanks Alice & Greg! I missed you too! I get it. I think I want to move to Mexico though. I went to PRB awaze back in 2014 to catch up on DEVO! A cute lil’ road trip from Palm Springs where most of the way we road in a tow truck. LOL! Oh DEVO, a band I’ve seen a half dozen times starting back at the MAB when I was a young quere and there and now I’m queer and here. lol And that mysterious band called The Bags who wore bags on their heads! My champions! I love yous! Love that you’re part of my sweet splattered history and seeing you today brings me home, uh I’m gonna cry. But thank you! So grateful! Have fun with all your new endeavors!!!
Loved your set at Punk Rock Bowling! Your comments about the Museum are fair. There's a lot missing, but they are building their collection and will hopefully fill some if not all of those gaps. Thanks for posting the update. Beyond your fascinating exploration of Mexico City I became totally invested in you two as well.
Thank you, Walter. Yes, we both agree the Museum is an extremely ambitious undertaking and we wish them success. They have the potential to show the world the scale of punk's impact and influence across generations and cultures and hope they continue to keep inclusivity in mind.
Thank you, @Brandi. Alice says she moved on quickly and put it behind her, no sense in dwelling on it since it seemed like one small problem quickly snowballed out of control.
So great to hear from y'all again! I've missed y'all! By the way, you both have the best speaking voices. You should be narrating books! (along with all of your other careers you have going! In your copious spare time, ha ha!)
Welcome back to LA! I’m sorry to have missed your Alex’s show, I’m right down the street. I heard about your club show at PRB, thank you for being gracious, you’re a queen 🤍. I’ve been wondering about the Punk Rock Museum. A couple of people I know have been docents and the little sneak peeks I’ve seen were a bit limited in range. I’m so glad to hear that they’re inclusive and striving for more diversity than the glimpses I’ve seen. I’m really hoping it can be something that shows at least a piece of everyone’s punk rock experience.
@@AliceandGreg Thanks! We’ve been pretty silent with all of our travel. As you guys ramp up your fun pursuits, we’ve been trying to ramp down ours, with mixed success. 😆 All the best!
Alice Bag!!! I keep finding your content. I love it, you are my favorite lady punk! It's refreshing to see legends like you and Pat Smear living the good life. I am writing a book and it would be the greatest honor to interview you. You may have seen other comments from me on other posts😅 I agree with Greg about basement shows being the essence of punk..
I was just wondering about you two! I wanted to invite you to a party but I guess you’re still not LA. Ahhhh. Hopefully, you keep making videos- you’re good at it. :)
I've been following your adventures and was sad to see you two leave CDMX as I really wanted to plan a trip there based on the experiences you shared on these videos. I'm very happy to know that wonderful opportunities and experiences are opening up for you two and look forward to seeing more vids about your adventures. ❤
I hope you’ll be able to perhaps divide your time between the US and Mexico in the future. Retiring out of the country seems fairly complicated in terms of coordinating income, health insurance, making sure social security doesn’t pause, etc. I really enjoyed your posts from CDMX and hope to see more one day. Also, they should have you and Kid Congo on season two of The Resort!
Well, nice that things are moving in such an exciting fashion for you fine folks. Me? Just have been taking care of my parents. (Alice met my Dad, very briefly, but I bet she can tell that he needs care, and Mom's even more in need) Greg, I can relate- I've always felt like it's my duty to financially support family, be it kids, siblings, or parents. I'll watch Mayans, but isn't it a spin off from Sons of Anarchy? If so, do I need to go back and see that show? As for Punk Rock Bowling, and the Punk Museum- my entirely personal opinion on Punk Rock is that it's music made by punks. As in, the old school idea of a "punk"- snotty teenagers, and the like. So, Festivals seem a bit too "professional" for my idea of Punk, and a Museum seems way off. But, that's not to say that I want to impose my ideas on anyone. Just saying that festivals, and museums seem like the kind of thing you bring the kids to, to entertain them, but not the kind of thing that entertains me. But, I'm a poseur, always have been....
Thank you for watching and commenting, our very best to you and your family. Mayans M.C. is indeed a spin off of SOA but it exists in its own storytelling universe, so it's not completely necessary to watch SOA first, just need to be aware that there is an uneasy relationship between the two clubs. Greg is much more in line with your thinking on punk fests and museums, but we both appreciate what Punk Rock Bowling and the Punk Rock Museum have already accomplished. There were some great bands included in the fest and the museum is growing and evolving and will only get better with time.
