People might think this is silly or a waste of time, but these guys are having fun and coming up with ways to make more efficient machines and doing complex engineering.
@@kenhammscousin4716 Who said something has to be important or heroic to be worthwhile? Regardless of what the machine's function is, it's still applied engineering and can still make advances in certain fields of mechanical engineering. Like it or not, this is just how human progress works sometimes. It's no different than F1 racing leading to advancements in the automotive industry.
I understand insurance reasons why it won't be insured anymore in Delaware, but pumpkin chunking belongs in Delaware. That's where originated. That's where it should stay. We need a petition that we can sign that will bring pumpkin chunking back to the state of Delaware! (Paul The Delawarean)
Probably the town made them move, or the field got sold to a developer or something. And now Delaware threw them out all together. What is THAT all about?
My home church tacked a bullseye on the top of the building one time during this festival. Of course it was just out of the range of the cannons but still it was pretty funny.
Anytime guys do things like this, it's to impress the girls. It also gives you a chance to destroy a pumpkin without throwing it from your car into the street!
